Scottie Scheffler is the dominant player on the PGA Tour right now and the simple fact of the matter is that he has been for quite some time.

Up until the end of April this year, Scheffler was still yet to win and truly ridiculous questions were being asked of him.

After his seven PGA Tour wins in 2024, was his time at the top coming to an end? Would he struggle to match his 2024 form?

The 29-year-old from Dallas, Texas, has answered both of those questions emphatically over the past three months, winning five times on the PGA Tour, including two major championships.

In 2025, Scheffler has widened the gap between himself and world number two Rory McIlroy to an incredible 10 points!

Not only is he an exceptional golfer but he is a consummate professional as well.

Scheffler has the correct mindset at every tournament he plays from the very first tee until the last putt that he holes.

And it is that elite mentality that has enabled him to accrue so many tournament wins over the past three years.

So could he really go on to emulate the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods within the next 10-15 years?

Whilst it will be hard for Scheffler to continue on his current rate of winning, his dedication to the game certainly makes it possible.

During his last four seasons on the PGA Tour, he has won 18 PGA Tour tournaments, including four major championships.

So what numbers will he have reached by the time he is 40, if he continues on his current win-rate.

Well, in 11 years’ time, Scheffler would have 68 PGA Tour titles and 15 major championships to his name.

As mentioned previously, it will be incredibly difficult for Scheffler to maintain his current level up until the year 2036.

So this is obviously all hypothetical. However, Scheffler should really be in his prime over the course of the next 11 years.

Aside from child phenoms like Tiger Woods, tour pros tend not to reach their prime until their mid-30s.

So the scary thing for Scheffler’s rivals is that, theoretically, he should become even better than he already is over the course of the next decade.

Scottie Scheffler’s career PGA Tour record

Scheffler made a slow start to life on the PGA Tour, and he really struggled to get over the line during the first few years.

However, after he broke his duck at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in February 2022, he never looked back.

Here are his career results to date:

AchievementsScheffler’s totals
Events played149
Major wins4
Wins18
Top-5s55
Top-10s75
Missed cuts19

Those numbers are truly remarkable.

It goes without saying that, if Scheffler continues on his current trajectory, he will go down as a true legend of the game by the time he hangs up his clubs.
