How many holes in one Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau have had in their golfing careers

Hole-in-ones have become commonplace on the PGA Tour, with there being around a 22 per cent chance of an ace during a single day of a tournament.

2024 saw some memorable hole-outs, with Si Woo Kim’s ace on the par-three 17th at The Open arguably the most eye-catching. The South Korean’s 238-yard effort was the longest at The Open since 1981 and also the first known hole-in-one on the 17th at Royal Troon.

Other notable aces during the 2024 season include Ryan Fox at The Players and Joe Highsmith at The American Express. Francesco Molinari also produced a remarkable hole-in-one at the US Open to make the cut.

Here, The Golfing Gazette takes a look at Bryson DeChambeau, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson’s hole-in-one records, and it’s fair to say the trio have had varying success.

Bryson DeChambeau hole-in-one record

DeChambeau has only had one hole-in-one during a professional event, the 2019 Masters Tournament at Augusta National.

The American holed out on the 16th hole after using the slopes to his advantage. 2019 was, of course, the year Woods went on to win his 15th major title.

Furthermore, DeChambeau has never had a hole-in-one on his YouTube channel. “I’ve had one in my life; I’ve never had one on the channel either,” the 30-year-old said during his Break 50 attempt with Donald Trump.

Tiger Woods hole-in-one record

Woods’ hole-in-one record, perhaps unsurprisingly, is better than DeChambeau’s. Woods made his first ace at a par three course in Heartwell at the age of eight.

The 15-time major winner has made 20 holes-in-one in his career, with three coming on the PGA Tour. The events included the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open, 1997 Phoenix Open, and 1998 Sprint International.

Tiger failed to make an ace during his heyday in the mid-2000s.

Phil Mickelson hole-in-one record

Mickelson’s record, however, puts Woods and DeChambeau to shame. In the LIV Golf media guide, the lefty claims to have made 47 holes-in-one during his career.

Therefore, the 54-year-old would’ve averaged an ace every year since he was just six years old. Mickelson has five on the PGA Tour and reportedly one on the DP World Tour, with video evidence.

Of course, there’s plenty of scepticism over the remaining 41 hole-in-ones the 2021 PGA Championship winner claims to have made.
