Jon Rahm won the LIV Golf Individual Championship after an incredible performance in Indianapolis on Sunday.
Rahm was five shots behind Sebastian Munoz after 36 holes and produced an 11-under-par 60 to take him to a playoff.
The Spaniard lost the extra hole and missed out on his first victory of the season, but he still beat Joaquin Niemann to the season-long title.
This will give captain Luke Donald and his European team a significant boost ahead of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.

Jon Rahm gives Europe major boost before Ryder Cup
The European team have many reasons to be optimistic about the Ryder Cup next month, even though the United States will have home advantage in New York.
Besides the Masters champion Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Robert MacIntyre are all in fine form weeks before the event.
Well, Jon Rahm, who is expected to receive a captain’s pick, is also playing his best golf of the season at the right time from a Ryder Cup perspective.
His clutch 60 in the final round at the LIV Golf Indianapolis to win the Individual Championship was perfect preparation for Bethpage Black.
The 30-year-old is one of the best players in the world and could be Europe’s answer to Scottie Scheffler or Bryson DeChambeau.
Of course, this is an oversimplification, but it’s hard to envisage Europe losing the Ryder Cup if Rahm and McIlroy are both on top form.

Golf fans react to Jon Rahm winning LIV Golf Individual Championship
While many criticize LIV Golf’s inability to capture the imagination of sports fans, there was plenty of interest in Rahm’s battle with Niemann for the Individual Championship.
“Jon Rahm with possibly the most clutch round of golf in recent years,” one viewer commented on X after the final round in Indianapolis.
“That’s a man who can play under pressure… had to win and did just that,” another comment pointed out how well Rahm played, given the circumstances.
“Jon Rahm is the only person who can stop Scottie’s run,” a fan suggested. “What a round from Rahmbo,” one added.
“As if the good vibes for Europe weren’t enough already, a rampaging Jon Rahm playing the round of his life to win the LIV Golf individual title would be another huge confidence boost,” an X post read. “Team Europe are going to fly into Bethpage without needing a plane.”
