Arnold Palmer Invitational predictions
The Golfing Gazette writers have made their predictions for who will win the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday:
Peter Lynch: He’s certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think Wyndham Clark has what it takes to come out on top this weekend. He’s been enjoying himself in TGL, but is now very much due another PGA Tour win.
Jordan Harris: Rory McIlroy has shown more than a few glimpses of his quality at the start of this season, so if anyone is going to be able to take Scheffler down at Bay Hill, it may be the Northern Irishman. It really feels like a big gun is going to emerge victorious this week.
Sam Stone: I am going for an outside pick here. Michael Kim has been unbelievably consistent over the past month and has mixed it with the world’s best players on multiple occasions. It’s about time the 31-year-old announced himself on a relatively big stage. He’s swinging it great and after a recent short game improvement, I think a win is just around the corner.
James Shearman: Tommy Fleetwood still hasn’t won on the PGA Tour but it’s not like he can’t get over the line in tournaments. He has seven victories on the DP World Tour. This year should be the one in which he breaks through in the United States, and where better than the iconic Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
