Jason Day has played at some truly spectacular golf courses throughout his time in the professional game.

Day has been one of the best players on the PGA Tour over the past decade or so, in spite of a quiet past few years.

Throughout his career, Day was highly respected by his competitors, with Tiger Woods being a particularly big fan of the Australian.

Back in 2016, Day was part of golf’s big three, alongside Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy.

He is incredibly popular as well. It’s just such a shame that the Australian’s career has been such an injury-ravaged one.

The 38-year-old has 19 professional wins to his name including 13 on the PGA Tour, but there is no telling how many victories he would have earned had his body cooperated.

The good news is that there is still plenty of time left for Day to achieve his goals in the game.

The tournament Jason Day wants to win above all others

Day only has one major championship to his name – his PGA Championship win in 2015.

However, there is one tournament he’d choose to win if he was allowed only one more.

When speaking to Time back in 2016, Day named Augusta National as his favorite golf course and picked The Masters as the one tournament he wants to win above all others.

He said: Augusta National. That is one tournament that I have always wanted to win: The Masters. Obviously these guys have had the opportunity and capitalized on that opportunity, but that is really the tournament that, you know … watching Tiger back in 1997 got me into the game of golf, and no one … I was close to winning that a couple times, but Adam Scott was the first Australian to win it, and I always wanted to be the first Australian.

But you know, seeing him win it, he has such a great career in golf and just (was a) deserving winner. But yeah, if there is one golf course that I could play, tournament conditions, last day on earth, it would be Augusta National.

Would you like to see a ‘Women’s Masters’ at Augusta National?

Augusta National is the perfect golf course for Day and, really, it’s a huge surprise that he is still yet to have won The Masters.

Jason Day’s record at The Masters

Day has come incredibly close to winning The Masters in the past.

He finished in a tie for second in 2011 when he lost out by two strokes to eventual champion Charl Schwartzel.

Here is Day’s record throughout the years at Augusta National:

The Australian is only 38, so he still has plenty of time left to realize his dream, if he manages to remain injury-free, of course.

Jason Day would be a really popular winner at The Masters, there is no doubt about that.
