Brooks Koepka has confirmed his departure from LIV Golf and his return to the PGA Tour.

Koepka’s comeback was made possible by the Tour’s introduction of the Returning Member Program.

The initiative gives winners of the four major championships and The Players in the last four years a three-week window to return.

This also applies to Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Cameron Smith, but none of them are expected to join Koepka at this stage.

For DeChambeau specifically, he could be the biggest winner from the situation for a completely different reason.

The year is 2030, where will Bryson DeChambeau be?

LIV Golf, the PGA Tour or on YouTube permanently…

I mean, look, it’s confidential. I’m not going to share too much, but the conversations are in process. We have to get to a place where both parties have a good understanding of one another. It is getting to a place that makes sense for both sides, and I think that can happen, but you never know.

Bryson DeChambeau will celebrate Brooks Koepka news

Bryson DeChambeau’s existing contract with LIV Golf is set to expire at the end of the 2026 season.

The American is open to signing a new deal, but talks between the two parties have stalled recently.

And LIV might regret failing to agree to a deal sooner, as DeChambeau now has an even stronger bargaining position.

That is because Koepka’s departure means DeChambeau is by far the biggest superstar on the roster.

Indeed, if Bryson were to also return to the PGA Tour, LIV’s already debatable reputation would suffer irreparable damage.

Therefore, the 32-year-old can now effectively demand whatever he wants because LIV have no choice but to agree to his terms.

His last contract was reportedly worth up to $125 million, so one can only imagine how lucrative his extension could be.

Bryson DeChambeau’s alternative to LIV Golf extension

The other reason Bryson DeChambeau is a big winner following the Brooks Koepka news is that he could follow suit.

If he does not view LIV Golf as the place to be for the foreseeable future, DeChambeau could also make his PGA Tour comeback.

He currently has a three-week deadline to make that decision, but the offer will probably still be available next year.

Even though the Tour explained that their Returning Member Program is a one-time offer, it is hard to believe that they would not make an exception for DeChambeau.

So, whether it is in 2026 or 2027, DeChambeau can have a PGA Tour comeback on his radar.
