Bryson DeChambeau left the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf back in June 2022.
Since his time with LIV Golf, the long-hitting DeChambeau has evolved into a real blockbuster star, and he is one of the few players who has actually improved since leaving the PGA Tour.
Even PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp labelled DeChambeau as a superstar this week, and he must be looking at the 32-year-old thinking what might have been, had he not joined LIV three years ago.
DeChambeau has changed the game with his explosive power off the tee after his intense speed training transformation back in 2019.
He is a huge YouTube star now as well, and he was the first PGA Tour or LIV player to dip his toes into that particular market.

DeChambeau carries huge appeal to the younger generation of golf fans, and he is the main poster boy for LIV.
It’s such a shame that we, as golf fans, only get to see him compete against the very best golfers in the world four times per year at the major championships.
The PGA Tour could cause LIV Golf a big Bryson DeChambeau problem
Earlier this week, DeChambeau called for an urgent resolution between LIV and the PGA Tour, claiming that the current fractured state of the professional game is not good for anybody.
Do you think LIV would survive if Bryson DeChambeau returned to the PGA Tour?
And if that doesn’t happen sooner rather than later, the two-time US Open champion may well grow increasingly restless.
That’s when the PGA Tour may be able to make a move to bring him back, and kill LIV Golf as an entity in the process.
The American’s current contract with LIV expires at the end of the 2026 season.
Unless there has been any real progress made by LIV Golf regarding their attempts to obtain world ranking points between now and then, DeChambeau may well be low-hanging fruit for the PGA Tour.
Brian Rolapp is determined to make the PGA Tour an even more appealing product than it already is.

And there is no question that bringing DeChambeau back to the Tour would help in that regard, what with his superstar appeal.
Bryson DeChambeau could cause a domino effect if the PGA Tour make a move
If the PGA Tour were to tempt DeChambeau into leaving LIV Golf, it may well be the start of a chain reaction.
Surely the likes of Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka and Joaquin Niemann would be tempted to jump ship as well?
The problem with LIV Golf having one standout star is that their model is totally reliant on that player: a) staying with them and b) consistently performing to a supremely high standard.
Should DeChambeau leave LIV Golf, it would tip the scales heavily in the PGA Tour’s favour.
Can you imagine how exciting it would be to see DeChambeau compete against the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy week in, week out?
The 32-year-old has made it very clear that changes need to happen quickly in the professional game, and the LIV Golf hierarchy will surely be nervous behind closed doors about what could happen when his contract expires.
It’s very simple. Despite DeChambeau’s love for the YouTube golfing sphere, he is desperate to cement his legacy in the game by winning many, many more major championships.
And he simply won’t be able to do that if he remains with LIV Golf without being given the opportunity to earn world ranking points.
With that in mind, it would be foolish for the PGA Tour powers that be not to keep a very close eye on the situation.
