LIV Golf might be done and dusted for the season but there is still plenty of interest in some of their star players as the PGA Tour and DP World Tours wind down.
With a Ryder Cup also to come and top stars like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm part of that event, there’ll be plenty of eyeballs on the LIV side of things.
Of course, we’ve also just had a weekend where the Procore Championship and the BMW PGA Championship both took place, as Scottie Scheffler and Alex Noren came out victorious.
But while the obvious winners were a PGA Tour and DP World Tour player, there was plenty of reason to be cheerful for the LIV Golf side of things as well.

LIV Golf can be delighted after the BMW Championship
LIV Golf has had more than its fair share of criticism over the years so when things go right, it’s only fair to praise them.
This week, we’ve seen Bryson DeChambeau praised for his attitude around Team USA despite not being able to play the Procore, while over at the BMW, we saw some stellar performances.
Indeed, Patrick Reed was the star of the show again representing LIV, as he finished third at Wentworth to beat out a number of Team Europe’s main men.
Furthermore, Tyrrell Hatton finished an excellent fifth, while the emerging young talent that is Tom McKibbin also finished inside the top 12.
Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann also finished in the top 20, meaning LIV had five of the top 20 at Wentworth.
LIV Golf need their stars to perform on other tours to back up OWGR arguments
One of the major flaws of being on the LIV Golf tour right now is that the tour isn’t recognised in terms of OWGR.
That means that despite having some of the best players in the world, unless they win a major, those players tumble down the rankings.
For LIV to have any success in getting the OWGR to buy in somehow, then they need these sorts of weekends.
If players like Rahm, DeChambeau, Reed and more can consistently show they’re still world-class against the PGA Tour’s best, then it only adds credence to their bid for inclusion.
All in all, this was a fine week for LIV Golf and outside of their own events, one they’ll be delighted with.
