The popular LIV Golf Adelaide event takes place this weekend – and Brooks Koepka has been full of praise for the course at The Grange Golf Club in Southern Australia.
Aussie fans have loved LIV Golf coming to town in previous years, and Cam Smith’s Ripper GC has a huge following down under.
LIV’s new CEO, Scott O’Neil, will hope for an engaging event this week after poor viewing figures on Fox Sports 2 marred the LIV Golf Riyadh event.
At a time when the PIF-backed venture is competing with the TGL and PGA Tour, 12,000 people tuning in is far from sustainable.
Brooks Koepka makes claim about LIV Golf Adelaide greens

Despite the concerns, this week’s event should be well-received in Australia, and Koepka believes the course at The Grange is one of the best those on LIV play all year.
“I was going to say that, actually. Look, this golf course is in phenomenal shape, some of the purest greens we play all year on LIV, and it’s exciting. I know I’ve said it earlier, but the players are excited to get down here to play,” Koepka said in his pre-tournament press conference.
“It’s a fun event. This golf course is in incredible shape. I actually love the fact it’s this hot right now because it might firm this golf course up a little bit, and I think you’re really going to see a true Australian golf course test. That’s what I believe.
Koepka added: “Obviously, Cam is probably the favourite. Cam is definitely the fan favourite, so it’s hard to go against that. But there are so many guys, so many guys playing well. Jon, Tyrrell is playing phenomenal golf. I don’t think he’s finished outside the top 5 in his last six events or something like that. There’s a lot of guys that are playing well. It’s a big year, Ryder Cup year, so guys are looking to play well on both sides, the European side and our side in the States, and there’s just a lot to play for this season. There’s a lot of hungry guys.”
During a recent YouTube appearance with Rick Shiels, Koepka claimed Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore was his favourite course in the LIV Golf roster.

How did Brooks Koepka play at LIV Golf Riyadh
Koepka endured a slow start to the LIV season in Riyadh after posting a two-over-par round during the first day’s play. The five-time major winner made two double-bogeys and dropped three more shots to leave himself well out of contention.
However, Koepka bounced back with a five-under 67 during the second round before finishing the tournament with a two-under 70.
Cleeks GC’s Adrain Meronk was the man who ran out victorious in Riyadh. The Polish star took control of the event after posting a stunning ten-under 62 during the first round. Legion XIII’s Jon Rahm was tied for second on 15 under alongside Torque GC’s Sebastian Munoz.
