Excitement is building for the upcoming Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, with the United States and Europe both fancying their chances of victory.

Keegan Bradley and his American Ryder Cup team will play host to the European side led by Luke Donald at the magnificent Bethpage Black in three weeks’ time.

The New York crowd at Bethpage Black will make for one of the most exciting Ryder Cup contests in recent history.

New York sports fans are notoriously vociferous when it comes to supporting their teams, so the European players had better be prepared for the raucous atmosphere that awaits them.

That said, the European Ryder Cup team is an incredibly strong one, so it should be a really well-contested match.

Golf fans around the world literally cannot wait for the competition to begin.

What a $10,000 Ryder Cup ticket at Bethpage Black will get you

Tickets for the Ryder Cup do not come cheap.

And there is one particular option for the extremely wealthy which has some interesting perks to say the least.

However, if you want in, it will set you back $10,000!

Here are some of the added extras included in the $10,000 ticket:

• Multiple viewing locations across the course including the main point of hospitality being in the Bethpage Clubhouse

• Premium Food & Beverage (all-day bar service featuring top-shelf liquor/wine & premium food options in the clubhouse)

• Daily round-trip black car service

• Exclusive gift

• VIP Reception (Thursday and Friday) only applicable if you bought a Thursday or Friday Daily, or a weekly.

The five most expensive sports tickets for events held in America

While paying $10,000 to watch some golf seems unfathomable, it is nothing compared to the prices that some other sports have demanded for tickets in America.

Here are the five most pricey sports tickets of all time for events held in the United States:

EventSportPrice rangeYear
MLB World Series: Cubs-IndiansBaseball$2,200 – $1 million2016
Super Bowl XLVII: 49ers-RavensNFL$2K – $420K2013
Manny Pacquiao-Floyd MayweatherBoxing$1,500 – $180K2015
Super Bowl LVI: Rams-BengalsNFL$6K – $100K2022
Mayweather-McGregorBoxing$500 – $98K2017

Those prices for tickets are just incomprehensible, and it’s a sad indictment actually of the direction that many sports have taken over the past decade or so.

Watching the biggest and most popular sports on the planet is simply not accessible to most people anymore.

However, there were some reasonably priced Ryder Cup tickets available at Bethpage, with access to the practice rounds costing around $200 and entry into the main event on one of the three days coming in at around $500-700.

Still not cheap, but just about doable for the average man like me!
