It’s finally here.

The final round of The Masters is already well underway as Scottie Scheffler leads the way ahead of his tee-time alongside Collin Morikawa later on today.

Scheffler has fired a casual seven-under to lead the tournament at the final stage and many will be expecting him to go all the way and hold off the challenge of Morikawa and others.

Of course, it won’t be easy.

Augusta National has played tough all week and with windy conditions again expected on Sunday, Scheffler could well find himself in trouble if he’s not full on his game.

A number of other players are not far behind either.

Bryson DeChambeau, Ludvig Aberg, and Max Homa are all well in contention.

And speaking to Sky Sports before the big tee-off earlier today, on-course expert Wayne ‘Radar’ Riley shared his prediction for the 2024 Masters winner.

Wayne Riley says Scottie Scheffler is the man to win the 2024 Masters

Speaking to Sky Sports when asked about his prediction for the final day, Riley admitted that he just cannot see past Scheffler getting it done again.

“World No 1 Scottie Scheffler comes into this championship and he’s on top of the boil. A lot of people have been saying his form this week hasn’t been very good,” Riley said.

“What else do you need to be able to do but to lead a championship? If he’s not playing very good, I’d like to see him play fantastic. I can’t look past Scottie Scheffler, but gee whizz he’s going to have a lot of people in his rear mirror who aren’t scared of him one bit.”

Scheffler to take some stopping at Augusta

As Riley mentions here, there are some who feel Scheffler is not even playing his very best. And the reality of that is that it’s a scary thought for everyone else.

Sure, he could drop away like so many have this weekend if he lets the course get the better of him.

But he’s shown that he is just so calm under pressure and delivers the shots when it matters.

The chasing pack will be hoping for mistakes from Scheffler today. The onus is on them to force the issue and then hope the world number one drops back into the pack.

But the reality of that actually happening seems unlikely.

Scheffler, then, could well have his second green jacket by nightfall tonight.
