Tommy Fleetwood has returned to glory on the DP World Tour after winning the DP World India Championship.

Fleetwood highlighted Delhi Golf Club’s difficulty during the tournament, but that didn’t prevent him from claiming an eighth DP World Tour win.

He carded a seven-under 65 in his final round of the DP World India Championship, ending his week on 22-under.

Fleetwood secured a two-shot win over Keita Nakajima, with Shane Lowry, Alex Fitzpatrick and Thriston Lawrence all tying for third on 18-under.

The success continues a fantastic season for the Englishman, who clinched his maiden PGA Tour win at the Tour Championship earlier in the year.

Fleetwood also recently helped Team Europe beat the USA at the Ryder Cup, with his celebrations now continuing into the DP World Tour.

Asked after the victory how it feels to claim an eighth title, he replied: “Yeah, lovely. Actually at the start of the week… I’ve done it actually since Ryder Cup, have had a few questions about hadn’t made it to the final two events of the year and things like that.

“I hadn’t qualified anyway. I said, I feel like for all the good that’s happened this year, a couple of things have disappointed me, that my sort of DP World Tour year has. Yeah, another win feels great.”

Fleetwood led the way after round two in India, but entered Sunday two shots back after struggling on the greens on Saturday.

When asked if his putting and his response to his third round frustrations will be a big part of his takeaways from his final round and the win in general, he said: “Yeah, of course.

“Everything is an opportunity to respond in the best way you can, whether it’s good or bad. I said yesterday, I felt like I putted great yesterday except for that four or five-hole stretch.

“I practised afterwards, and I actually… again, you look at opportunities, the first hole today, I had a six-footer on the first, left to right, and I actually thought at the time, this is a great way to start a different day, like get some momentum with the putter, feel good with it. I putted amazing today. I really, really did.

“Yeah, I played amazing, and down the stretch I felt like I holed some great putts, like mid-range putts, but like you say, I felt like after gaining some momentum, just that one on 11, I hit a couple of poor iron shots there on 11 and 12, but that putt was big, and managed to just keep it going through the back nine.”

What Tommy Fleetwood had in his mind during the entire final round of the DP World India Championship

Fleetwood has unquestionably been one of the standout players in the 2025 season, which is far from over just yet.

He has just risen a huge 69 places to 25th in the Race to Dubai rankings following his success at Delhi Golf Club.

For now, however, he will celebrate another victory alongside his family, having been asked how special it was to win in front of his son Frankie for the very first time.

Fleetwood said: “Yeah, so we were at home last week and we were driving the buggy. I think we were playing golf together, and he just said randomly, ‘do you know what you’ve never done?’

“He said, ‘you’ve never won a tournament and I’ve been able to run on to the 18th green’. I was like, I’m writing that down.

“I had that written down all week. Like I say, it was just another opportunity really. There’s going to be many more times where I hopefully get the chance to do that.

“But that was like all day today, had in my mind could I put myself in a position where I can actually make that moment happen.

“It’s just one of those little things it means a lot to me. It means so much to me. That was really cool. That’s what I wanted to do all day.”

While he has enjoyed recent PGA Tour and Ryder Cup success, this represents his first DP World Tour triumph since the 2024 Dubai Invitational.
