Tom Kim is one of the best players on the PGA Tour and a good friend of world number one Scottie Scheffler but his playing partner at the Grant Thornton Invitational, Jeeno Thitikul, may have just usurped the world’s top golfer.
Kim and Thitikul have proven to be a fine duo together during the tournament and at the time of writing, were just two off the lead with two holes to play.
Regardless of winning or not, Kim and Thitikul have very much embraced the event and had plenty of fun in doing so.

However, while Kim is the star, Thitikul has actually stolen the limelight thanks to a stunning bunker shot on 16.
And according to Kim, it was better than Scottie Scheffler.
Tom Kim says why Jeeno Thitikul did something Scottie Scheffler couldn’t at the Grant Thornton
Speaking to the media after their round on Saturday, Kim spoke about just good Thitikul’s shot from the bunker was. The Thailand native somehow managed to hole out from the sand.
And now, Kim has claimed that even his good friend Scottie Scheffler wouldn’t even have been able to hole it.
“I was like I’ve had enough, she’s done so much the whole day, capping off with a hole-out over there. We made a bad decision with the ball flight we chose to put her there,” Kim said.
“I meant me and my caddie [putting her in a bad spot]. Try to not take all the blame. Putting herself in a tricky spot. I was expecting I had to make a little nice 10-footer coming back.
“When she made it, I told her as soon as she made it, I said I play with Scottie a lot and I don’t think Scottie could do that. No, she played awesome today.”
