The offer the PGA Tour simply must make to Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm if LIV Golf folds

Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are LIV Golf’s two biggest stars.

Right now, they must be thinking what on earth they have got themselves into.

DeChambeau made the decision to join LIV Golf from the PGA Tour back in June 2022, while Rahm jumped ship in December 2023.

However, both of their futures are completely up in the air right now, with rumors circulating that LIV Golf could soon be no more.

Rahm and DeChambeau both endured tough weeks at The Masters, and maybe they knew what was rumbling on in the background.

On Tuesday night, claims from some journalists suggested that the LIV Golf league was about to fold.

Now the PGA Tour only has one option.

The Financial Times report that Saudi Arabia’s PIF are on the verge of cutting their support for LIV Golf.

That is expected to happen at the end of the 2026 season.

And if Rahm and DeChambeau are left in limbo, the PGA Tour must act.

Back in January, the PGA Tour invented the ‘returning member program’ in order to help facilitate Brooks Koepka’s return.

DeChambeau, Rahm and Cameron Smith were given the same offer with a strict deadline of February 2nd.

However, none of them accepted the PGA Tour’s olive branch.

Now it’s time for Brian Rolapp to make that offer once again to those three players, as a pure one-off.

All of the other LIV Golf players will have to earn their way back to the PGA Tour.

Whatever you think of DeChambeau and Rahm as people and, indeed, golfers, they are both needle-movers.

They are both exceptional talents and would be valuable additions to the PGA Tour.

If LIV Golf does cease to exist, there will be a lot of golfers left in limbo.

However, Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm should not have to worry about where they will be playing next year.

They have earned the right to be given one more chance by Rolapp and the PGA Tour.
