Bryson DeChambeau is one of the best golfers in the world right now, but there are certain players throughout history who he is quite simply in awe of.
DeChambeau has two major titles to his name and he is a hugely popular figure with the younger generation of golf fans.
However, there is no doubt that he risked tarnishing his legacy by leaving the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf in 2022.
That said, his current deal with the Saudi-backed outfit expires at the end of the 2026 season and as things stand, he is still yet to commit to a new contract.
Who’s THE MOST overrated golfer in the world?
With Brooks Koepka having officially left LIV Golf, the two-time US Open winner may well be tempted to do the same at some point.
DeChambeau commented on Koepka’s LIV exit, suggesting that it will be interesting to see how the PGA Tour deals with his fellow American.
It does seem to be a real shame that someone with such a keen interest in the history of the game left the PGA Tour.
The four golfers who made Bryson DeChambeau’s golfing Mount Rushmore
DeChambeau may well end his career as one of the great golfers of all time.
However, he has a long way to go if he is to match the records of the best players in the history of the sport.
The likes of Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus are often mentioned as the two greatest golfers of all time but who else did DeChambeau select when asked by Flushing It on X to come up with his ‘Mount Rushmore of golf’?
His response was actually a really interesting one.

He said: “I would say Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and the last one’s just so brutal to decide on. I love Gary Player. I love Phil Mickelson. But, I think I have to give it to Arnold Palmer.
“I mean, it’s real tough to keep that guy off the Mount Rushmore of golf.”
The fact that DeChambeau rates Phil Mickelson up there with the likes of Arnold Palmer and Bobby Jones was quite the surprise.
However, it’s very hard to argue with any of the selections that he made.
There would definitely be a case for Ben Hogan and Gary Player to be included but in DeChambeau’s opinion, they didn’t quite make the cut.
Jack Nicklaus named his Mount Rushmore of Golf
Mount Rushmore is, of course, a famous landmark in South Dakota.
How many wins do you think 2000’s Tiger Woods would have if playing in 2025?
And how would it impact Scottie Scheffler's incredible year?
Four former Presidents of the United States have their faces carved into the side of Mount Rushmore – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
Earlier this year, Jack Nicklaus was asked which golfers he would select to replace those four names.
He said: “Probably be Bobby Jones, probably be Ben Hogan, probably Tiger Woods. I’d like to join them. Myself, that’s four.”
That’s a pretty impressive foursome right there!
Nicklaus and Woods seem to feature on every single golfer’s ‘Mount Rushmore’ and those two are clearly on another level to every other golfer.
Bryson DeChambeau obviously thinks the same, and he shared his admiration for Palmer and Jones as well.
A fine selection from the LIV Golf star, if you ask me.
