Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood are the best three players on the PGA Tour right now and, indeed, the world.
Scheffler won six times on the PGA Tour in 2026, including two major championships while McIlroy recorded three victories, while completing the career Grand Slam in the process with his Masters triumph.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood‘s game reached a whole new level entirely, with his 2025 season culminating with his first ever PGA Tour win at the Tour Championship in Atlanta.
There is no doubt that Scheffler, McIlroy and Fleetwood are the ‘Big Three’ in the game right now.

What is top of your agenda?
It would be a huge surprise if any of them struggled in 2026.
But which player out of the talented trio will enjoy the most success on the PGA Tour during the 2026 season?
Who’ll win more on the PGA Tour in 2026; Scheffler, McIlroy or Fleetwood
Golf fans should be really excited ahead of the new PGA Tour season.
Scheffler’s recent dominance could well be challenged by not only McIlroy and Fleetwood, but a whole host of hugely talented young players as well.
However, which player will end up with the most wins on the PGA Tour in 2026?
Smylie Kaufman made his predictions when speaking on his Smylie Show Podcast.

In regards to Scheffler’s prospects in 2026, he said: “The last missed cut he had was in 2022 in Memphis, and honestly didn’t even play that bad.
“But looking at 2024, you know, he made all of his hay in the signature events. He won five times in the signature events.
“So I think you’ll see him probably have more wins at signature events this year than last year. The only one he had in 2025 was Memorial. He’s been dominant at that event.
“That’s one that is almost just chalked up to him and probably Bay Hill as well. It’s two places that he just seems to play incredible at.
“But, obviously, the two majors last year, I think that’ll be the big conversation that I know we’re going to continue to talk about. But a couple more signature events from Scottie this year, probably some majors, but I think he gets over the five and a half.“
So Smylie is backing Scheffler to win six times on the PGA Tour in 2026. That will take some effort from Scottie, but there is every chance Kaufman will be proven right, given the world number one’s quality.
What does the former PGA Tour player think about McIlroy’s chances on the PGA Tour in 2026, though?

“I think with Rory at two and a half, potentially playing just 16 events on the PGA Tour,“ he said.
“Last year he skipped Memphis and you’d imagine he’d be in a similar situation this year.
“I would probably lean over two and a half just because of the driver and the putter. He’s just too good, his distance is unbelievable, if he can just tighten up his iron game, he’ll definitely win more than two and a half times.“
So, Kaufman is backing McIlroy to win three times. But what about Fleetwood?
He said: “I’m going under one and a half, and that’s mainly because when I looked at all of his data, I thought the iron play was going to be more consistent over a longer period of time.
“We’re probably in that 16 to 18 range, for events played. He’ll be in contention but it’s just a matter of whether he’ll be able to get the job done with a lot of other really good players.
What’s the biggest mistake you’ve ever seen a player make at a major?
“Not to say he can’t do it, I just wonder, is he going to have enough pop on the bat?“
Fleetwood will win just one time on the PGA Tour in 2026 then, according to Smylie Kaufman.
Personally, I think the Englishman will win at least twice, but probably three times or more – he is that good.
Scheffler vs McIlroy vs Fleetwood: 2025 PGA Tour results compared
It’s fair to say that Scheffler, McIlroy and Fleetwood will be the three favorites for all of the majors in 2026.
Their form throughout the 2025 season was head and shoulders above everyone else in the professional game.
Here are the results of Scheffler, McIlroy and Fleetwood on the PGA Tour in 2025:
| PGA Tour results | Scheffler | McIlroy | Fleetwood |
| Events played | 20 | 16 | 19 |
| Major wins | 2 | 1 | 0 |
| Wins | 6 | 3 | 1 |
| Top-5s | 12 | 5 | 7 |
| Top-10s | 17 | 8 | 8 |
| Top-25s | 20 | 14 | 15 |
| Missed cuts | 0 | 1 | 1 |
Those three players will obviously all be looking to add to their trophy cabinets during the 2026 season.
However, the big question is who will have the most success on the PGA Tour out of Scheffler, McIlroy and Fleetwood?
It’s just so hard to bet against the world number one.
