Rasmus Hojgaard is still yet to win on the PGA Tour, although the talented Dane does have five DP World Tour victories to his name.
Hojgaard has chalked up 12 top-25 finishes in 45 PGA Tour events so far but only has a solitary top-three finish to his name.
Rasmus Hojgaard represented Team Europe at the Ryder Cup back in September but unfortunately for him, he lost both matches he played at Bethpage Black.
Do you think long putters should be banned?
Yes or No…
In spite of that, it’s obvious to see that the 24-year-old is a precocious talent. He just needs to refine his game ever so slightly and numerous PGA Tour victories will surely be lying ahead of him.
Hojgaard’s superpower is his explosive speed and power off the tee.
When he’s in full swing, it is easy to marvel at the speed he creates with his driver.
Now Rich Beem has highlighted just how impressive Hojgaard’s driving is to watch.
What Rich Beem has noticed about Rasmus Hojgaard when watching him on the PGA Tour
While Hojgaard hasn’t performed brilliantly since joining the PGA Tour in 2025, he has established himself as one of the most exciting players to watch.
Beem was speaking about Hojgaard’s talent during Sky Sports’ coverage of the opening round of the Cognizant Classic on Thursday.

“I watched him in Phoenix, I couldn’t believe how far he hits the golf ball,“ Beem admitted.
“It is shockingly far.
“I just, I couldn’t believe it. He was hitting his driver 80 yards past the other two guys..
“I had no idea. I knew he could shift it. Three quarters the way back, and all of a sudden it just goes.”
Beem is right; Hojgaard is longer than most. However, he’s not actually the longest hitter on the PGA Tour…
Rasmus Hojgaard’s PGA Tour driving stats
Just like Rich Beem said, Hojgaard is an absolute joy to watch with a driver in his hand.
Here are his numbers over the past two seasons on the PGA Tour:
| Year | Driving distance total and rank | Clubhead speed total and rank | Ball speed total and rank |
| 2026 | 324.7 (4th) | 124.48 mph (8th) | 187.03 mph (5th) |
| 2025 | 314.9 (11th) | 124.41 (6th) | 187.55 (3rd) |
The bad news for Rasmus is that his brother, Nicolai, swings the club even faster than him and hits the ball longer.
The 24-year-old Dane’s speed is obviously a natural talent because he has been incredibly long since he burst onto the DP World Tour scene when he was just a teenager.
However, he may have to throttle back on that speed if he is to contend in the very biggest events, in order to sharpen up on his iron play.
