Shane Lowry is now set to enjoy some well-earned downtime after his lengthy season came to an end.
Lowry finished T3 at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, which was won by his close friend Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy won his sixth Race to Dubai title in the process, with the Northern Irishman lifting the trophy for the third successive year.
Lowry is 17th in the Ryder Cup qualification standings, with the Irishman certain to want to climb that leaderboard next season.
He will have plenty of chances to do exactly that in 2025 across the DP World Tour and PGA Tour before the team competition gets underway in September.

First, however, Lowry is planning to lie low after a busy time on the course, having endured a mixed 2024 season.
“My 16th season on tour comes to an end,” Lowry wrote on X. “Like every other year it was full of ups and downs but still enjoyed every minute of it.
“I’m very lucky to call this a job. Thanks to all my team sponsors and fans for coming along for the ride. Now home to my girls to enjoy a well deserved break.”
