Collin Morikawa is a PGA Tour winner once again, after the American managed to edge out Min Woo Lee and Sepp Straka and win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Heading into the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, you would have had to have gone back to a time before Scottie Scheffler‘s first ever victory on the PGA Tour for the last time Collin Morikawa won on home soil.

Do you think Collin Morikawa will win a major in 2026?

Morikawa took a little while to get going on Sunday. However, he played the final 13 holes in five under par to win by one.

There were signs that the 29-year-old may be struggling to handle the pressure. But Morikawa was able to produce a number of superb shots under the most intense pressure, especially with Scheffler spending much of Sunday in the hunt for the title.

Morikawa was joined in the final group by overnight leader Akshay Bhatia and Sepp Straka.

And speaking after finishing tied for second in California, Straka commented on what he made of Morikawa’s performance in the last round.

“His iron play down the stretch, really all day was great, especially the iron shot on 16 was unbelievable. He kind of left himself pretty far back and he hit a six iron in there tight and made a birdie,” he said.

“The one on 18 was a hard enough shot, but he likes to cut it so it makes it even harder with that wind blowing 25, 30 off your left. Yeah, that is a pretty special shot to put it away there.

“He’s one of the best iron players of our generation probably. His generation. I’m a little older than him. We’ve been out here about the same time. Yeah, it’s very impressive to watch him hit iron shots.”

Morikawa will know that there is a lot more work to do despite winning at Pebble Beach

Morikawa went into the 2026 season with a point to prove. His previous PGA Tour victory came towards the end of the 2023 campaign at the ZOZO Championship.

He threatened to end that wait at The Sentry and the Arnold Palmer Invitational last year. However, he finished second on both occasions.

And it appeared that those results really knocked him. Morikawa’s only top 10 for the rest of the year after The Masters came at the Rocket Classic.

Morikawa looked to be back towards his best at Pebble Beach. He hit all 18 greens in regulation on Saturday. And he handled the pressure in testing conditions on Sunday.

His challenge now is to build on this result and ensure that he does not face anything like the same wait for his next win.
