There is just no stopping Scottie Scheffler right now it seems, as he continues to dominate the PGA Tour.
Scheffler is the number one golfer in the world, and he is currently sitting at the top of the FedEx Cup points list on the PGA Tour.
Last month, Scheffler caused controversy with his comments about lacking fulfilment from winning, but in some ways, his focus on life away from golf is what makes him so good on the course.
His happiness is not defined by how well he plays or how many tournaments he wins, but rather by how well-rounded he is as a father, a husband, a son, a sibling and a friend.
Scheffler has been playing the best golf we have seen in quite some time, probably since Tiger Woods‘ prime.
The 29-year-old has won four times on the PGA Tour this season, including two major championships.
He will now have his eye on winning the FedEx Cup. However, Scheffler will not receive a head-start at the Tour Championship later this month.
Scottie Scheffler set for $18m bonus before returning to the PGA Tour
Whoever wins the Tour Championship this season will pocket a cool $10 million bonus.
However, Scheffler is already set to receive two huge payouts before he even returns to action at The FedEx St. Jude Championship next week.

That’s because he will be number one on the FedEx Cup points list after the Wyndham Championship.
That means that he has $10 million coming his way, but that’s not all.
Scheffler is also leading the Comcast Business Tour Top 10 – which recognises consistent performances throughout the entire year – and will receive an $8 million bonus as a result, when the Wyndham Championship finishes on Sunday.
Not bad work if you can get it.
There is more cash up for grabs for the world number one as well. Whoever is leading the FedEx Cup points list after the BMW Championship will receive a $5 million bonus as well.
And then as mentioned earlier, the Tour Championship winner will receive a $10 million bonus. So theoretically, Scheffler could earn $33 million in the next few weeks.
In fact, it would be a surprise if he didn’t, given his recent form.
Top earners in PGA Tour history
Woods is the highest earner of all-time on the PGA Tour, but Scheffler is in close pursuit.
He’s fourth on the list right now, but he will almost certainly overtake third-place Phil Mickelson before the 2025 season is done.
Here are the top five career money leaders on the PGA Tour:
| Player name | Money earned |
| Tiger Woods | $120,999,166 |
| Rory McIlroy | $107,145,766 |
| Phil Mickelson | $96,727,968 |
| Scottie Scheffler | $90,996,470 |
| Dustin Johnson | $75,695,066 |
Rory McIlroy and Scheffler could well be one and two on that list at the end of the 2026 season.
The fact that Scheffler has amassed $90 million in such a short period of time just goes to show how lucrative playing professional golf is these days.
And ironically, Scheffler and his fellow pros have the man at the top of that list to thank for the riches they are receiving now.
