Scottie Scheffler enjoyed a terrific 2025 season on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler recorded six PGA Tour wins last year, including two major championships.
One of those major triumphs came at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow back in May.
Scheffler is well-equipped to continue his dominance on the PGA Tour over the next decade or so.
How many majors do you think Scottie Scheffler will win during his career?
The world number one already has four majors under his belt
The current world number one is the most consistent driver of the ball in the game, the best iron player by quite some distance and now he’s ranked inside the top-20 for strokes gained putting as well.
He certainly maxed out all of those attributes at Quail Hollow eight months ago.
Scottie Scheffler admits PGA Championship win was down to one man
Scheffler is well-known for being such a humble man.
Despite being the best golfer on the planet, he is just a normal guy away from the golf course.
That humility shone through brightly when the man from Dallas, Texas, spoke about his PGA Championship win on the Fore Play Podcast Plus.
Scheffler made a remarkable claim about his victory at Quail Hollow back in May.
“The work that is put in behind the scenes to get a product in my hand is so in depth,“ he said.
“I mean, it is wild what they will do in order to get the best equipment in our hands.
“And I even look back at this season, I don’t know if I could have won the PGA Championship without Adrian.

“I mean, Adrian took a look at my driver, does all the testing, he’s like, ‘Hey, this thing’s gonna fail soon. We need to get something in place, so when it does fail, we’re ready’.
“And sure enough, I use it for a couple more weeks. It fails at the PGA, but when Adrian told me that, we did our prep work, we got our driver ready.
“He did all the work, he got the driver. He got it fit for me, we got it right, and I ended up using it in competition the next week. First week with the new driver and I end up winning the PGA Championship.
“If I didn’t have the relationship that I have with Adrian, and if he didn’t work as hard as he does, if TaylorMade didn’t do all the stuff they do behind the scenes, it would have been a really tough thing for me to manage, especially not having the relationship with a great company like TaylorMade.
“And so, I’m very thankful for their support. They make a great product, and they work really hard doing it.“
It’s safe to say that Scheffler is extremely happy with TaylorMade right now!
What Scottie Scheffler’s club-fitter said about his PGA Championship win
Adrian Rietveld has an extremely close relationship with Scheffler.
And he was quite clearly crucial to the world number one’s win at Quail Hollow in May.
“The thing with Scottie that week, and he alluded to this in his press conference after, we were ready to go,“ Rietveld explained back in October.
“He had the same driver all of 2024, and most of 2025 up until that point, and during the Byron Nelson and the week before that, we had worked for two weeks on situations that could come up with regards to a driver, and a driver being on the edge.
How many shots would Scottie Scheffler beat Tiger Woods by in an 18-hole stroke play match?
“So when he called me on the Sunday before the PGA Championship, he got there early, the driver got tested early and failed. We were ready to go with like an option A and an option B.
“I still believe Scottie Scheffler has a Qi35 driver in his locker that he hasn’t hit a bad shot out of yet, I’m telling you, I’m convinced about that.
“The situation was like, he was just about to play a major championship. If this would have happened at the Byron Nelson, where they were testing, maybe he would have given the Qi35 a crack, right? But now we were at a major championship, I think it was better to be safe than sorry, and use what has won you so much.
“We still had options, we still had work to do that week. We went for the driver which was so close to the original one. It was almost an identical copy once we dialled in the launch and spin and he went on to win the tournament.
“People say he won the tournament putting a new driver in play, but he really did his homework, he didn’t get lucky.
