Popular American golfer Sahith Theegala is in contention at the Scottish Open after two solid opening rounds.
Theegala is one of the big names to make the journey across the pond to Scotland and he carded a well-plotted five-under in round two to finish up at nine under.
The 26-year-old is level with the likes of Rory McIlroy and Alex Noren in trying to chase down early clubhouse leader, Ludvig Aberg.
For Theegala, winning over in the UK would feel massive. And in fairness to him, he’s put himself in a position to at least be in contention come Sunday.
However, like all professionals, Theegala wasn’t completely happy and he’s admitted that after watching some tennis at Wimbledon, he’d love to be able to follow some of the tennis players’ leads.

Sahith Theegala says he wishes he could do what tennis players do when they make a bad shot
Speaking to the DP World Tour diary room, Theegala was asked if he had anything to complain about from his second round.
And commenting on his bad shots and misses, Theegala conceded he’d love to be able to take a leaf out of the Wimbledon players’ books.
“Somehow I managed to chip it into the bunker from just off the green and make double bogey, so that was pretty frustrating,” Theegala said.
“And I missed a couple of short birdie putts and I turned to Frankie’s caddy, Sam, and I said like ‘Man, I wish I could just yell, like look up at the coaches boxes and just complain’.
“I loved that [from Wimbledon]. I thought it was the best thing. They would miss a forehand or miss a point and they’d turn to their box and I’m just like ‘man, I was wish I could do that with golf’.”
Of course, there are golfers who don’t mind taking their anger out on the course.
Tyrrell Hatton has built a bit of a reputation for being a bit of a potty mouth when things start to go badly, while Jon Rahm is not averse to the odd meltdown either.
Theegala, then, obviously likes to keep his emotions in check.
However, if he does manage to find a bunker from just off the green again, you can imagine he’ll be close to letting out an almighty roar!
