Russell Henley came from out of nowhere at Bay Hill to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational ahead of Collin Morikawa.
Henley chipped in for an eagle on 16 to swing the tide in his favour as Morikawa faltered and in the end, he kept his cool down 18 to make par and win out from Morikawa by one shot.
For American Henley, the win will be a big boost towards his chances of featuring in the Ryder Cup squad under Keegan Bradley.

Of course, for Morikawa, who was leading all the way up until 16, it was yet another near miss as his long wait for another PGA Tour win continues.
However, while it was disappointment for Morikawa, Henley had some nice words of praise for his counterpart.

Henley was straight in front of the media after holing his winning putt on 18.
And while he revelled in winning, Henley had a special word for Morikawa after he overcame him to win with just a few holes to play.
“Yeah it’s unbelievable,” Henley quipped.
“You know, hats off to Collin, you know he played great today, he played super steady but sometimes golf is just mean like that but what a great competitor he is.
“It means so much. I’ve watched Tiger make a lot of putts on this green. Rory, other guys, Bryson, make putts to win here and it’s just so cool to know that I did it too.”

Still, he is a model of consistency, with 51 top ten finishes in his 295 PGA Tour starts.
