Rick Shiels has caused one of the biggest stirs in golf in 2025 already with news he’s signed a deal to produce content alongside LIV Golf.

The popular YouTube star has penned a deal with LIV to make content with their top stars over the course of 2025 as he looks to take his production to another level in 2025.

Shiels’ move shocked golf fans when it was first announced and Shiels has also seen a dip in subscribers since announcing the move to LIV.

However, while the criticisms over his move will be valid on some level, Shiels will argue that his agreement will open doors deemed impossible before.

Of course, one of Shiels’ most watched series’ on his channel is his popular ‘Break 75’, where he attempts to go under 75 on some of the best courses around.

Now he’s signed with LIV, he’ll be doing the Break 75 at tournament courses and Shiels has now predicted just how many times he fancies his chances of getting under target.

Rick Shiels predicts how many courses he’ll break 75 at after signing with LIV Golf

Rick Shiels has taken to his own podcast to finally speak out on the LIV move and it’s safe to say he tried to cover off a lot of questions during the episode.

However, away from the more controversial items on the agenda, Shiels did speak about the Break 75 series and in doing so, suggested he can do quite well.

“I am going to go. I am going to break 75 in seven or more. 70%. I am going to play these courses in championship condition, super fast greens, off the back tees,” Shiels said.

“But my game has definitely been trending and I’m excited.”

In terms of the content Shiels will now be able to create and get access to, he should be able to provide his viewers with some excellent film.

LIV Golf takes in some of the finest courses in the world and that will kick off in Riyadh in a few weeks’ time.

Over the season, Shiels will get to pit his wits against stunning courses like Trump National in Miami, the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, and the famous Jack Nicklaus course in South Korea.

Shiels will also get to tackle Valderrama, while an old nemesis in the JCB Country Club in the UK will also feature. Shiels has played there a number of times and in the main, struggled.

If he does hit 70%, then he’ll have done extremely well indeed.
