Viktor Hovland became the latest player to withdraw from the Travelers Championship during the final round on Sunday.
Hovland appeared to have tweaked his neck inside the first couple of holes of day four at the Travelers Championship.
And the 27-year-old withdrew after missing his tee shot way right on the third hole.
He became the fourth withdrawal of the week after Jordan Spieth, Si Woo Kim and Eric Cole.
And Rich Beem saw it coming before anyone else.

Hovland spoke about how the PGA Tour needs to improve as an entity before the tournament began at TPC River Highlands.
However, he now has more important issues on his plate, heading into a really important part of the season.
Rich Beem shares what he noticed about Viktor Hovland before Travelers withdrawal
Hovland will be cursing his luck right now with the Open Championship just weeks away, the FedEx Cup play-offs on the horizon and of course, the Ryder Cup upcoming in September.
The injury sustained by Hovland looked like a really bad one.
Beem was commentating live for Sky Sports in the UK, and before Hovland withdrew, he shared something he noticed about the Norwegian.
“If you notice there, when he was going through his routine, he was trying to look at the hole, it looked like he was struggling to.

“And if you look at the tee shot, he took it back a lot slower, it didn’t look like he went after it nearly as much as he normally does. So, something to kind of watch, it doesn’t look like his neck is in great shape as far as I can tell.”
Let’s just hope that the injury is not a serious one, and Hovland is able to return to tournament play sooner rather than later.
Hovland’s 2025 PGA Tour stats
The man from Norway has been extremely inconsistent this season.
He has one win to his name, but has also missed three cuts in the 12 events he has played.
Here are his stats from the 2025 season so far.
| Stats | Rank |
| Strokes gained off the tee | 77th |
| Strokes gained approach | 6th |
| Strokes gained scrambling | 154th |
| Strokes gained putting | 124th |
| Strokes gained total | 36th |
The seven-time PGA Tour winner clearly needs to work on his driving and scrambling around the greens, if he is to contend in big championships.
However, Hovland’s main concern right now will be to get healthy, after he withdrew from the Travelers Championship.
