Mike Weir failed to end the International Team drought at the Presidents Cup as the US Team emerged victorious in Montreal.
Jim Furyk guided the US Team to an 18.5-11.5 victory over the International team, with Keegan Bradley securing the winning point.
Bradley wants most of the US Team at the Ryder Cup, with the American set to captain Team USA in New York next year.
But Bethpage Black is a long way away, with the American Presidents Cup stars set to celebrate this victory for some time.
They stormed into a 5-0 lead on Thursday, with the visitors winning all of the opening four-balls in Canada.

Rich Beem highlights Mike Weir mistake in Presidents Cup defeat
But the home side fought back on day two, remarkably winning all of Friday’s foursomes to draw level at 5-5.
But the US Team took an 11-7 win after Saturday’s action, with Rich Beem pinpointing the day as a key turning point in the overall result.
“I think Mike Weir lost it on Saturday by not mixing up some of his pairings going into the afternoon foursomes,” Beem wrote for Sky Sports. “I think that was a mistake and I think he’ll reflect upon that, but they clearly had a game plan going into it.
“Putting Adam Scott out there for the fourth straight match on Saturday afternoon, at the age of 44, was the wrong decision. I mean he had to have been drained and even Scott said himself that night that he was tired.
“Then you look at where Weir put him out in the singles – he was down in one of the bottom groups. I would have thought that a fresh Scott – had he not played on Saturday afternoon – might have been in the top three matches and I think that’s where you needed him.”
Depth helps US Team beat the International Team at the Presidents Cup
The US Team needed just 4½ points on the final day to clinch the trophy, before going on to win six of the Sunday singles matches.
They halved three, with 2025 Ryder Cup captain Bradley beating Kim Si Woo to clinch the winning point away from home.
There was plenty of expectation on Australian star Scott ahead of the Presidents Cup, given his vast experience at the event.
Scott made his 11th consecutive Presidents Cup appearance, but the veteran was once again on the losing side.
Team depth was, however, required in Montreal, with Beem explaining just how important that was for Furyk’s winning side.
“The International side has got all kinds of game, but when you have as much depth as the United States side, it’s a massive difference,” he added.
“Anybody can beat anybody on one given day, but if you stretch it out to four different days, that’s a different thing.”
