It’s that time of the year again when LIV Golf try to add to their ranks by offering contracts to numerous PGA Tour players.

LIV Golf made some blockbuster signings during the first couple of years of their existence, including the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, six-time major champion Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm.

However, it has been a while since their last mega signing, so to speak, from the PGA Tour.

A merger between LIV and the PGA Tour will never happen according to Brandel Chamblee.

Which LIV golfer do you most want to see return to the PGA Tour?

So every single year during the off-season, there will be speculation swirling around regarding which PGA Tour players could jump ship to LIV.

And now it seems like the Saudi-backed outfit have just secured their first signing ahead of the new season.

Victor Perez is joining LIV Golf as their latest signing

Victor Perez has three DP World Tour wins to his name.

However, he will now apparently join LIV Golf during the off-season, according to The Times journalist Tom Kershaw.

Interestingly, Perez is in the field at the RSM Classic on the PGA Tour this week, and he’s currently ranked 108th in the FedEx Cup points list.

So he’s almost guaranteed to have conditional status on the PGA Tour next season and still has a chance of being fully exempt if he plays well in Sea Island, Georgia this week.

However, the financial lure of playing on LIV has obviously proven to be impossible to turn down for the Frenchman.

Victor Perez reaction to joining LIV Golf

“Joining Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining golf’s next great chapter, as this club continues to push boundaries, perform at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game.”

Victor Perez’s PGA Tour career in numbers

The 33-year-old finished in a tie for 19th in the US Open at Oakmont this year.

However, the world number 122 has missed 11 cuts out of 17 appearances in the major championships.

Here are his results during his time on the PGA Tour:

Perez’s PGA Tour career can hardly be described as a successful one, so he won’t be missed when he moves over to LIV Golf.

And fans of LIV Golf will surely be expecting bigger names to join the Saudi golf league between now and the start of the new season.
