President Joe Biden and potential president elect, Donald Trump, have had the golf world talking in the last 24 hours.
The presidential candidates went head to head last night in what some are calling one of the most excruciating debates we’ve seen for some time.
Over the course of the time on stage, both Biden and Trump struggled to deliver concrete answers to the questions asked as the race to be the next US President continued to hot up.
Trump v Biden causes a stir in the world of golf
Of course, whoever wins out will have plenty of actual presidential and policy decisions to make that will, in turn, have a huge impact on the US and the world in general.
However, while there’s important matters at large, the big talking point among golf fans from last night has been Trump and Biden’s back and forth over who has the better handicap and ultimately, who would win over 18 holes.
Since then, it’s been revealed that Trump is playing off 2.5, while Biden is said to be off 6.7 on the new system.

Quite how true and accurate those two figures are is open to another debate entirely.
But reacting to the debate and specifically the comments on those golf handicaps, six-time major winner Phil Mickelson has given us his reaction.
And just like most golf fans, Mickelson found it amusing how the personal insults only came along when it came to golf!
Bryson DeChambeau has solution to Trump v Biden golf debate
Since the debate, Bryson DeChambeau has even offered to host a match between the two to finally settle the score on the fairways.
The US Open winner has a popular YouTube channel and he took to X immediately after the debate last night to say he’d happily fix the match up.
Will we ever see the match? Maybe not!
But would we be interested in seeing it? You bet.
Here’s hoping, then, that Trump v Biden can eventually find it’s way to our screens from a golf course in the not too distant future.
