LIV Golf is back in action this weekend as it rolls into Spain and the famous Valderrama Golf Club.
After a few weeks break, LIV is back on the road and looking to keep building on the momentum it has built recently.
Of course, that momentum build has been helped by Bryson DeChambeau.
The American won the US Open in dramatic fashion ahead of Rory McIlroy and since then, he’s become the talk of the entire golfing world.
DeChambeau is just one of the many big names on LIV right now and another top star who knows a thing or two about winning a major, Phil Mickelson, has been speaking highly of the 30-year-old.
Indeed, Mickelson took time out to specifically mention the Valderrama club and paid tribute to just how good DeChambeau is in all conditions.

Phil Mickelson explains why Bryson DeChambeau is more than just a big hitter
Speaking to the press ahead of LIV Andalucía this weekend, Mickelson admitted to being really impressed by how DeChambeau navigated the course in 2023.
“I want to compliment Bryson because last year when he finished second, this golf course isn’t a course where you can just stand up and wail on it, and just hit it as far as you can. You have to be very precise and hit it certain distances to leave yourself a shot in around the trees,” Mickelson said.
“For Bryson, who has so much speed, to win a US Open or to win using his length but to play well here and just miss a play off, using precision and shot making, and his other skills is a real compliment to what a complete player he is and this course really identified that.
“I thought that was a really cool showing.”
DeChambeau will have his eye on Mickelson’s major haul
It’s easy to forget just how good a player Phil Mickelson was in his pomp and with six majors to his name, he truly is one of the greats of the game.
For DeChambeau, earning praise off a player like Mickelson will feel good but his goal will be to not only win praise from his peers, but also catch them up.
DeChambeau now has two majors in the bank and looking at how he’s playing right now, there’s a high chance he adds more in the future.
Getting to six is harder than it might look – just as Rory McIlroy – but DeChambeau will fancy it.
