Professional golf has become such an athletic sport over the past decade or so.

The explosive action through impact which young golfers are now taught has completely changed the game.

It’s very rare for players who cannot carry their ball at least 300 yards through the air to compete consistently.

What do you make of the planned changes to the PGA Tour?

What do you like? What concerns you about the changes?

Of course, players like Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy hitting longer drives is incredibly exciting for golf fans to watch.

However, there is a big downside and that is the fact that more and more injuries are occurring.

Aside from Tiger Woods who has experienced all sorts of injury issues, Justin Thomas and Will Zalatoris are two huge names who have undergone serious back surgery over the past couple of years.

And one PGA Tour winner has just announced that he will be returning to the game after 453 days away.

Some of you may have been wondering where C.T. Pan has been over the past year or so.

A familiar face on the PGA Tour, the 34-year-old is set to make his return to professional golf.

The winner of the RBC Heritage in 2019, C.T. Pan will be returning to action imminently, having spent 453 days away from the game after undergoing wrist surgery.

2026 seems to have been the year of the injured golfer, with numerous players suffering from various afflictions.

Hopefully C.T. Pan returns to action free of pain and we see him challenging near the top of leaderboards again very soon.

C.T. Pan’s statement in full as he returns to professional golf

It’s been a long 453 days since my last competitive round. But now, I’m finally ready to head back out there—back to a battlefield that feels completely familiar, yet entirely brand new.

The road to recovery after surgery has been a long grind. Over the past month, I’ve been trying to ramp my training back up to tournament level. It’s been a constant tug-of-war, full of trial and error, and endless back-and-forth discussions with my doctors. There were days I thought I’d taken a step forward, only for my body to tell me I’d taken a step back. The anxiety and self-doubt were real, but looking back, those struggles are exactly what made every bit of progress feel so hard-earned and rewarding.

Per the tour regulations, I’ll be kicking things off with a few warm-up events on the Korn Ferry Tour. My main focus is getting my competitive rhythm back and seeing how my body holds up under pressure. (And hey, I’ll do my best not to shoot in the 80s!)

I know there are plenty of hurdles ahead, but I’m ready to face whatever comes my way. I can’t even begin to tell you how hungry I am to officially make my way back to the PGA Tour.

I want to say a massive thank you to my sponsors, my team, my friends, and my family. During the quiet lows and the toughest days of rehab, your warmth, encouragement, and patience kept me going. I’m taking all that love and support with me as I leave it all out there, press forward, and start this next chapter.
