The PGA of America have come into the spotlight after the conclusion of the Ryder Cup, which the USA lost 15-13 to Europe.
Questions are being asked of the PGA of America after the tournament at Bethpage Black, where the home side fell to a hugely disappointing defeat.
Captain Keegan Bradley is being criticized too, having been outclassed by his opposite number Luke Donald in New York.
The PGA of America inquest is set to continue for some time, with the USA having now lost back-to-back Ryder Cup events to Team Europe.
They will look to end that barren run at the 2027 event, although Bradley is unlikely to be USA captain at Adare Manor.

Phil Mickelson won’t be USA captain either, but his fellow legend Tiger Woods could be the Ryder Cup captain in 2027.
It’s a discussion that PGA Tour player Michael Kim referenced when sharing his take on the latest victory for Europe.
After asking many questions of the PGA of America, Kim wrote on X: “Maybe the genius move from the PGA is that it’s better for them if the Europe side wins. More talk, more interest in the next captain.”
There was incidentally no Bethpage Black call-up for American Kim, who made 26 starts on the PGA Tour this season.

Despite not being involved in the action, one-time PGA Tour winner Kim kept a close eye on proceedings in New York.
Winner of the 2018 John Deere Classic, Kim livestreamed during the Ryder Cup, sharing his feelings on many decisions taken at Bethpage Black.

And his criticism of the PGA of America certainly didn’t end with his ‘genius’ claim, with Kim adding: “I think they get in a Zoom meeting and just throw up some names and go ‘Yeah I think that’ll be a great idea, let’s call him and do it’.
“No interview process, no ‘this is what has worked and hasn’t worked’.”
The PGA of America simply must be disappointed with how the golf itself panned out under Bradley, who definitely doesn’t deserve all the criticism for the defeat.
But whether any concrete changes will be made for their next hosting of the Ryder Cup and their next captain selection remains to be seen.
The prestigious tournament heads to Ireland in 2027, but is back on American soil in 2029 at Hazeltine National Golf Club.
