While Min Woo Lee would have absolutely taken a four shot lead heading into the final round of the Texas Children’s Houston Open, the Australian would have known how precarious that advantage could be on Sunday with so many players within the chasing pack.

Min Woo Lee was never going to have an easy time securing his first PGA Tour title at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. Lee looked tentative towards the end of his third round, and the likes of Gary Woodland and Rory McIlroy were able to make a real charge on Sunday.

What did not help was that Lee’s driving was extremely erratic. He looked to try and get a free drop after a wayward tee shot early on. And he left himself in real trouble on the eighth hole.

Lee took a drop after leaving himself under a bush on the par five. It could have certainly been a turning point for the 26-year-old.

However, a stunning pitch shot set Lee up to save par. But it proved to be more than half an hour between when the final group teed off on the hole to when Lee holed his putt to save his par.

And it seems that one of his playing partners was far from happy with the pace of play, with Josh Carpenter noting that Alejandro Tosti could not hide his frustration.

Lee not the first person to feel the wrath of Alejandro Tosti on the PGA Tour

It is fair to say Tosti has gained quite the reputation for struggling at times to keep his emotions in check on the golf course.

In fact, Tosti was apparently ‘a little bit disrespectful‘ towards Ryan Fox – the third player in the group on Sunday – earlier in the day. Funnily enough, Tosti had taken a while to take a drop of his own on the first hole.

As noted by Golf Digest, he has previously been suspended by the Korn Ferry Tour following an incident in which he reportedly expressed his anger at a playing partner’s pace of play.

Meanwhile, the same report noted that Tosti got involved in a heated exchange with Tony Finau at last year’s Houston Open over which player was further from the hole and thus, away first on the green.

Obviously, there is reason to have some sympathy after the hole had taken half an hour to complete, particularly with Tosti not entirely out of the running to win at the time.

However, with the Argentinian making a bogey on the following hole as Lee made a birdie, it appears that losing his cool did him no favours whatsoever.
