Padraig Harrington rolled back the years to produce a fine four days of golf and secure a top 12 finish at the BMW PGA Championship this weekend.
Harrington was among a number of European players to come back to some sort of form around Wentworth and while not near the top, it was a good few days for the three-time major winner.
Harrington carded a 68 on his final day and ended up 12th, with the likes of Eddie Pepperell and Marcus Armitage also playing well to please the local crowds.
For Harrington, who is still playing all the tours and seeking to win, it was nice to see him looking close to being in contention and back to his old self.
And assessing his round on social media, Harrington admitted he was delighted with one specific element of the last few days.

As we all know, Harrington is one of the most popular players on the tours and his excellent content on social media has attracted an army of fans.
Harrington himself is quite vocal in his opinions and assessments of his own game and over on X, the Irishman has had his say on this week’s effort at Wentworth.
And pointing out one thing that pleased him, Harrington commented on no bogeys in two rounds of golf as a huge plus.
Harrington still has major winning class
Padraig might not go and win another major just because of the sheer length and quality in the field now but he still has the magic touch at times.
He is going to be a menace on the senior tour for years to come and in events around old courses like Wentworth, he’s always going to do well.
Harrington just shows that while the younger generation can hit it further and outlast the older guys, there is still life in the old dog.
For European golf, Harrington remains a pillar and it was great to see him back in good form.
