Padraig Harrington is widely known as one of the more popular players on the PGA Tour and Michael Kim has shared a unique insight into what it’s like to share the fairways with the three-time major winner.
Harrington plays most of his golf on the Champions Tour nowadays but still tees it up in plenty of PGA Tour events as he looks to keep challenging himself in the game.
The Irishman has little to prove having won three majors but like all the best golfers in the world, he’s keen to keep on playing and testing himself.

Unfortunately at this week’s Mexico Open, Harrington missed the cut.
But still, playing alongside Michael Kim, he left quite the impression on the in-form American.

Michael Kim reveals why Padraig Harrington is so fun to play golf with
As has become the norm for Kim, he’s taken to social media to give a detailed breakdown of his week at the Mexico Open.
And in among the comments on his own game and form, Kim included a nice nod to Padraig Harrington and just why it’s so good to play with the experienced Irishman.
“Played with Padraig the first two days and it was a blast. He’s exactly how you’d imagine, great attitude, bombs it, and some funny quotes. My favourite “my highest was 181 yesterday and nearly cried myself to sleep!,” Kim shared.
Kim finished inside the top 15 to continue his own fine start to the PGA Tour season. He finished runner up at the WM Open, before finishing 13th at The Genesis and matching that in Mexico.
Harrington, meanwhile, will be hoping for better in his next outing.
Why Padraig Harrington struggled at the Mexico Open
Rather than trying to judge it for ourselves, the great man himself took to his own social media account on X to explain what the issues were in Mexico.
According to Harrington, it very much came down to his approach play and ultimately, the reading of the greens that followed.
Given his experience and knowledge of the game, Harrington won’t let things bother him too much.
His focus will now be on some of the bigger events in the season and he’ll be hoping to use the disappointment of Mexico to kick on into the rest of 2025.
