Michael Kim had a round to forget on the final day of the Wyndham Championship.
Kim opened up with three solid rounds of 66, 68 and 69 at the Wyndham Championship, but disaster struck on Sunday for the PGA Tour star.
The 32-year-old University of California, Berkeley graduate carded a miserable six-over par 76 on day four at Sedgefield Country Club, and finished well down the leaderboard in a tie for 62nd.
He is very active on social media, and Kim always throws his hat into the ring when it comes to golf debates, including the recent controversy when Grant Horvat rejected an invite to play on the PGA Tour.
Kim also weighed in on the Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods debate, suggesting that the current world number one would not be able to spend as much time on top of the rankings as the former best golfer in the world did.
And now he has taken to his X account to provide an update and an in-depth analysis on how he found playing at the Wyndham Championship last week.
Michael Kim says what was ‘crazy’ about the Wyndham Championship
You might think that Kim’s final round of 76 left him feeling down in the dumps.

However, it appears as though that wasn’t actually the case.
The 32-year-old shared his lengthy verdict after his week in North Carolina.
Kim said: “Thoughts from Wyndham: The first few days at Wyndham were easily the hottest days of the year. I think the last time I felt this humidity…was last year at Wyndham and Malaysia haha. It was great to see temperatures hit the 70s but man was it ridiculous early in the week. I swung it pretty well this week but obviously had a terrible Sunday. It wasn’t anything where I’m worried for the next few weeks and in fact I feel quite good with where my game is at. Seemed like everything I did on Sunday just didn’t work out.
“One of those days. -My short game has been very good this yr and that was mainly out of the fairway and rye rough. I was good out of Bermuda fairway but really couldn’t figure out the Bermuda rough. It’s something I’ll be focusing on this week. I never grew up playing in Bermuda so trying to judge the lie has been super difficult for me. I’ll be trying different techniques to test what feels most predictable.
“Greens at Wyndham were ridiculously fast on down grain putts. They were at 13.5 this week but downhill they felt like 16s. It was crazy how fast certain putts were and when you had a short downhill putt, you could play it say left edge and firm or 3 balls out left. If you missed it playing left edge, you’d have 12 ft coming back. It was a really interesting challenge.
“Finally, Wyndham brings a lot of sad memories from when my season ended multiple times here. I’m reminded of how I felt driving to GSO wondering if I’ll ever get my game back. This week, I was obviously disappointed with my Sunday, but there definitely was a sense of accomplishment that I made the playoffs this yr and knowing how far I’ve come. It’s time to make a real playoff run and get to the Tour Championship. “Grateful but not satisfied” Let’s get after it!“
Michael Kim’s 2025 PGA Tour stats
Kim has been very solid indeed this season.
Here are his stats from 2025 so far:
| Stats | Kim’s rank |
| Strokes gained off the tee | 99th |
| Strokes gained approach | 37th |
| Strokes gained around the greens | 45th |
| Strokes gained putting | 89th |
| Strokes gained total | 44th |
| FedEx Cup points list | 36th |
While Kim has been very consistent, he needs to improve his driving and putting if he is to reach the next level.
The 32-year-old has plenty of talent and ability, but if he is to get back in the winner’s circle again, big improvements are unquestionably required.
