Mark Wahlberg is renowned for being as much of an avid golf fan as he is a fitness fanatic.
And it seems he regularly likes to combine the two activities.
Wahlberg, 54, is said to be around a nine handicap, so he is more than proficient out on the links.
He has appeared on the PGA Tour Pro-Am circuit plenty of times, regularly teeing it up at The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Wahlberg is golf-obsessed and spends much of his free time playing in between filming movies.
It seems like he doesn’t actually have that much free time at all. However, that doesn’t mean that he misses out on a round of golf on a regular basis.

Brandel Chamblee welcomed CEO and co-founder of Municipal Harry Arnett onto his ‘Favorite Chamblee Podcast’ this week.
Arnett is close friends with Wahlberg and plays alongside the movie star on a consistent basis.
He made an incredible revelation about the actor regarding how long it takes him to get around the course.
Arnett said: “I met Mark Wahlberg through golf. I thought I was a fanatical golfer, but he plays 300 rounds of golf a year. He’s the most obsessed golfer i have ever been around.
“He plays a different style of game. He plays early and fast. He tees off at 7am and he’s done at 8:20am. If he were talking to us right now he’d probably say, ‘well a little less than that actually’.
“At TPC Champions (in Scottsdale), Mark Wahlberg comes out. He shows up for the first tee time, his driver stays in the parking lot. He goes out by himself, finishes in an hour and 10 minutes and jumps in the car.“
Arnett then responded when asked what Wahlberg shoots when he plays.
He said: “He shoots like in the high 70s. He’s probably a really good nine (handicap).“
Playing 18 holes in just over an hour is absolutely crazy, especially while shooting in the high 70s!
What Mark Wahlberg said about playing ‘power golf’
Wahlberg describes the way he plays as ‘power golf’.
He combines playing 18 holes with a cardio workout.
Wahlberg spoke about his golfing addiction three years ago and explained how he gets around the course so quickly.
“Anyone who plays golf knows how lucky they are to be able to escape the wife and the kids for a few hours.”
“The gym is a necessity but golf is an addiction,” he admits. “They both feed different parts of my brain, and I can’t really do without either.”
“I’ve managed to do 18 holes in a little over an hour,” he laughs. “The trick is teeing off at 6am and just running that course. You hit a drive and sprint to the ball while the caddies bring the carts and the clubs. Then you grab a club, hit the ball and sprint again. That way you can do a full round in an hour and 15 minutes if your putting is good – it’s pretty brutal!”
It sounds like you have to be incredibly fit in order to play golf like Wahlberg does. Give me a leisurely three or four hour stroll around the links every day of the week!
