Marco Penge may not be planning to make the move to LIV Golf this winter, but he has issued his verdict on Brooks Koepka.
There is huge excitement surrounding Marco Penge heading into 2026. He has booked his ticket to the PGA Tour after winning three times on the DP World Tour this season.
Fans felt it was a blow for LIV Golf that Penge has his sights set on playing on the PGA Tour. But it also means that the 27-year-old is unlikely to get the chance to play regularly alongside one of his favourite golfers.
Marco Penge issues his verdict on Brooks Koepka
LIV Golf certainly managed to sign a number of big names after being founded in 2021, including several major champions.
And speaking on the Life on Tour podcast, Penge explained that while Tiger Woods remains his favourite golfer, he is a particularly big fan of Brooks Koepka.

“Obviously Tiger. But putting Tiger aside, when Brooks was at his best, I just love how ruthless he is. Relentless. I’m coming. I love that,” he said.
“Hopefully he can get back to his best sometime soon, because I think it’s great when he’s there in the mix. Mentally, he has a mental attitude, that’s who I’ve always liked. I like Brooks. I’ve never actually met him to be fair, might have to just introduce myself.”
The highs and lows on LIV Golf for Brooks Koepka
It has been a fascinating few years for Koepka. When he left the PGA Tour, it appeared that his days at the very top of the game may be coming towards an end.
It was ominous for someone who thrived on the big occasions that his best result in a major in 2022 was 55th. He had also not won on the PGA Tour since February 2021.
However, he has since won five times on LIV. He also became the first LIV player to win a major as he clinched the PGA Championship in 2023.
Unfortunately, the 2025 season was extremely disappointing. Koepka finished in the top 10 on just two occasions on LIV, ending up 31st in the standings. Koepka admitted he had no right to expect a Ryder Cup call from Keegan Bradley.
There were some positive signs at the US Open at Oakmont. There was reason for optimism for Koepka after a very good first round. However, he failed to break 70 again that week in Pennsylvania and finished tied for 12th.
He missed the cut in the three other majors of the year.
Having said that, Koepka has recovered from being written off previously. So it would be foolish to doubt him adding a sixth major title at some stage.
Clearly, Penge would love to see it.
