There are some hugely difficult holes at Augusta National but Ludvig Aberg has picked out one particular shot at the famous course that is a nightmare for every player.
Aberg is in contention after the opening day of The Masters for 2025 and midway through his second round, the Swedish star was still there or thereabouts.
Of course, to get into a winning position at Augusta National requires all of the shots in the bag.
Some, naturally, are tougher than others and according to Ludvig Aberg, there is one shot in particular that is a nightmare for him and others.

Ludvig Aberg names the hardest shot at The Masters
With so many options including the legendary section of Amen Corner, it was little surprise to hear Aberg go for a particular shot on that part of the course as the toughest.
Speaking for a quick-fire question round with Nicola Rae, Aberg named the second shot on the par five 13th as the toughest shot a player can face.
With the sloping fairway and the temptation to go over the water to make it in two right there, the 13th hole is one of the toughest in the world really.
Indeed, Joaquin Niemann was among the players to fall foul to the wet stuff in round one as he didn’t quite get enough on his second.
How the 13th played in round one of The Masters
The second shot on 13 is a hard one as Aberg says and it was very much proven with the shot from Niemann mentioned above and an effort from Justin Thomas.
Thomas hooked his second shot well into the trees down the left as the slanting fairways naturally put his ball that way. The American did hit a provisional and then two-putted from that provisional ball.
On the whole, the 13th played over par through the field for the opening round as the average score on the hole came in at 5.032.
For a par five in the modern game, that is almost unheard of.
