Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley will be eager to follow in the footsteps of the USA at the Solheim Cup after their win over Team Europe.
It was Team USA Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis who got the better of her European counterpart Suzann Pettersen in Virginia.
The latter finally got her revenge on the former, with the pair having both been in charge when Europe retained the Solheim Cup last year.
Luke Donald will be in the same position as his fellow captain Pettersen at the 2025 Ryder Cup, having led his side to victory in Rome last time out.
But there is a new face captaining the hosts in New York next September, with Bradley taking over from Zach Johnson as Team USA leader.

Laura Davies makes Keegan Bradley prediction for the 2025 Ryder Cup
Bradley wants to be a playing captain at Bethpage Black, but Solheim Cup vice-captain Dame Laura Davies is somewhat fearful over how that would turn out.
Naming Mel Reid and Anna Nordqvist as potential Solheim Cup captains for 2026, Davies told Sky Sports News: “I genuinely don’t know, but if I was putting a couple of names forward then they would certainly be the two. They’ve both seen how Suzann does it and you can pick up a lot from your past captains.
“Anna’s so good still and Mel’s not playing her best at the moment but could easily turn it around and become a player, although I think if they commit to being captain then I don’t think you can ever be a playing captain.
“I know Keegan Bradley wants to have a go with the Ryder Cup but that would be a tough task. They would have to give up on their dreams of playing again, but we’ll see who comes out.”
Keegan Bradley removed as Presidents Cup assistant captain
Both Reid and Nordqvist may now have their eyes on the captaincy for the clash in the Netherlands, having just served as vice-captains to Pettersen in Virginia.
Bradley meanwhile was set to gain a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes with his assistant captain’s role at the upcoming Presidents Cup.
But US captain Jim Furyk has decided to revoke that role given that Bradley will indeed be playing at the tournament in Canada instead.
Rex Hoggard thinks Furyk has made a mistake in making that decision, although the captain clearly wants all of his players fully focused on the task at hand.
Royal Montreal hosts the Presidents Cup meeting between the US Team and the International Team later this month.
