Keegan Bradley will have one thing on his mind right now, and one thing only, with the Ryder Cup now just one month away.
Bradley will captain the US Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black next month but the question every golf fan wants an answer to is: will he play as well?
What is not up for debate is the fact that the 39-year-old from Vermont has been one of the best American players over the past eight months.
Paul McGinley shared his opinion last week that Bradley may have realised that he won’t be able to act as a playing captain at the Ryder Cup.
However, many people have suggested the complete opposite.
Bradley has been urged to play at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage by many top American golfers recently.
And if the eight-time PGA Tour winner does decide to play, there will obviously be one player who has to miss out.
What the American team are telling Keegan Bradley ahead of the Ryder Cup
Bradley will announce his captain’s picks to the world on Wednesday.
American fans and media members are awaiting Bradley’s picks with bated breath.
And as of now, there is still huge debate regarding which players will be selected and who will be left off the team.

Now Todd Lewis has shed some light on some of the thoughts running through Bradley’s mind.
Lewis posted a message to his X account.
He said: “Speaking with Keegan Bradley, he said some members of the US Ryder Cup told him they want him to be a Playing Captain. He also said, ‘There is probably going to be a few guys that think they are going to be on the team that aren’t going to be.’ He added phone calls will be ‘awful’!“
That reads like Bradley has decided to pick himself. Surely he wouldn’t have divulged what some American Ryder Cup players have told him otherwise.
Whatever decision he makes on Wednesday, there will be some players left feeling really disappointed.
The players who could miss out if Keegan Bradley picks himself for the Ryder Cup
Let’s assume that Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Ben Griffin, Patrick Cantlay, Maverick McNealy, Cameron Young, Sam Burns and of course, Bradley are the eight names in the race for the six captain’s picks.
Out of those names, two will miss out.
Thomas, Griffin and Cantlay are almost certain to be on the team now
So if Bradley does decide to pick himself, it will most likely be Morikawa, McNealy, Young and Burns all fighting for the final two places available.
As things stand, Morikawa and Young will probably get the call to represent Team USA at Bethpage Black.
If that’s the case, McNealy and Burns will miss out. Bradley may have different ideas, of course, regarding the make-up of his Ryder Cup team.
Morikawa’s game is a poor fit for Bethpage Black while Cantlay’s form throughout the course of the year was average at best.
He could make things easier on himself if he decides not to name himself on the team.
However, if he ends up picking himself, he will have to be prepared to make some really awkward phone calls.
That’s just something that he will not be able to escape.
