Keegan Bradley has hinted at the difference between Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, as he opened up on being the Northern Irishman’s teammate in TGL.
Rory McIlroy has inflicted plenty of pain upon Keegan Bradley in recent months. McIlroy was Europe’s talisman at the 2025 Ryder Cup as they became the first away side to win the event since 2012.

There has been some friction between the pair. McIlroy took the brunt of the abuse from the spectators who went too far at Bethpage Black.
And McIlroy called Bradley out for not doing more to calm everything down. But it appears that the pair have addressed any problems they may have had.

Bradley was asked on the Games With Names podcast about being alongside McIlroy in TGL as part of Boston Common. And he suggested that there is a difference when you are watching the 36-year-old in comparison with Scottie Scheffler.
“It’s great when he’s a teammate. When he’s on the other side, it’s tough. I can’t tell you how good this guy is. He’s so talented. Everything he does, I’m watching it and I can’t believe it,” he said.
“When you watch Scottie play, he’s so talented but he’s hitting cool shots. But Rory, he hits a driver and you’re like, holy cow! I think he’s one of the longest players on the tour.”
Bradley explains what representing Boston Common means to him
It seems fair to say that TGL is yet to really take off. While there is clearly potential and there have been some fantastic moments, it does appear to divide opinion among golf fans.
Much like LIV Golf, it is difficult to really become invested in the teams. There is no home advantage with all matches taking place at the SoFi Center. Meanwhile, most of the players are not from the areas they represent.
That is not the case when it comes to Bradley who has made no secret of his affection for the likes of the New England Patriots, the Boston Celtics, or the Boston Bruins.
And Bradley explained how significant it is to him to represent the city in TGL.
“It’s really fun to be out there and have a team and play for Boston. Playing for Boston means something to me. TGL is great. This stuff is really important, but for me, playing for Boston, that means something,” he said.
TGL certainly has a chance to really thrive should all of their players develop a similar passion for the teams they represent.
