Keegan Bradley might be in action at the Tour Championship this weekend but for the most part, his focus is firmly on the upcoming Ryder Cup.
Bradley is six under for the tournament after two rounds at East Lake as he found some much-needed form to go round in 64 in round two.
The American has played well all season long and if he wasn’t the captain of the Ryder Cup team, he’d be assumed an absolute lock for a spot on the team.

However, with it still undecided or at least unknown to the general public if Bradley will pick himself and play, it means he’s getting questions at every opportunity.
And in typical fashion, those questions were there again as he spoke to the media on day two.

Keegan Bradley admits why he’s struggling at the Tour Championship
While we all know Keegan Bradley will want to play well at East Lake and a round of 64 is a welcome boost for his chances of winning, it’s unquestionable that his focus is on the Ryder Cup.
We are just weeks away now and Bradley has plenty on his plate, including who he’ll be pairing together come the tournament.
Indeed, asking about his own game and why he’d struggled a bit in round one at the Tour Championship.
“I am very excited,” Bradley quipped after his round when asked about the Ryder Cup and how it’s impacting his game right now.
“This past month has been really difficult. I have had a really tough time detaching from this job this week. I am walking down the fairway and not even thinking about what I’m doing. I am thinking about pairings or what I am going to say to the team at a certain point.
“It has just become very difficult to detach, which I have done a really good job of throughout the year but I am excited for this week to get done so we can get this team together and really get sorted for what we are going to do.”

Can Keegan Bradley really play and captain Team USA?
It’s been one of the big golf debates all year.
If Keegan Bradley opts to play at the Ryder Cup and remain as captain, he is going to put a huge amount of pressure on himself. It’s that simple.
The pressure will come in the form of impacting his captain duties, his time, decision making and then he’s also got to go out and produce on the course as well.
| Rank | Player | Points |
| 7 | Justin Thomas | 10467.26 |
| 8 | Collin Morikawa | 10049.44 |
| 9 | Ben Griffin | 9745.76 |
| 10 | Maverick McNealy | 8913.65 |
| 11 | Keegan Bradley | 8435.00 |
| 12 | Brian Harman | 7466.91 |
| 13 | Andrew Novak | 7300.48 |
| 14 | Cameron Young | 7209.64 |
| 15 | Patrick Cantlay | 6716.39 |
| 16 | Sam Burns | 6688.29 |
| 17 | Wyndham Clark | 5216.87 |
| 18 | Lucas Glover | 4803.44 |
| 19 | Akshay Bhatia | 4647.13 |
| 20 | Chris Gotterup | 4570.10 |
All in all, if Bradley does pick himself and then plays badly, we could be looking at one of the all-time disastrous calls.
Of course, the reverse of that is he picks himself, plays well and helps the USA bring the trophy back home. That temptation and fairy tale ending may well be what he is thinking right now.
