Justin Thomas might have fallen away from contention at The Travelers this weekend but the American Ryder Cup hopeful has made sure to get his congrats over to the winner, Keegan Bradley.
Bradley outlasted Tommy Fleetwood down the 18th hole to win in dramatic fashion and win the tournament for the second time in just three years.
Bradley now faces a big Ryder Cup decision in terms of playing, while those hoping to get the nod from the skipper are also trying to up their game.
Justin Thomas is one of those players.
The winner of this year’s RBC Heritage was flying after his opening few rounds but a final round of three under was only enough to see him finish six back of Bradley.
But despite his own disappointment, Thomas made sure to keep his class afterwards on social media.

Justin Thomas reacts to Keegan Bradley’s win at The Travelers Championship
It’s been a solid year for Justin Thomas really. A win at the RBC and now a ninth place finish in another signature event more than sets him up for the year.
Indeed, Thomas looks set to be an automatic pick for the Ryder Cup and even if he is outside the top six, he can have little worries over getting a pick.
Still, Thomas has still showed his class and kept his skipper sweet by posting on Instagram after The Travelers and sending a message of support to Bradley.
“Bogey free on Sundays is always a good thing! Overall a solid week @travelerschamp and lots to keep building on. Congrats to captain @keeganbradley1 on the W! Time for a little reset and rest before getting ready for @genesis_scottish_open“
Justin Thomas can be a key man for America’s Ryder Cup team
There was a point where it felt like Justin Thomas might end up being one of the big name casualties for Team USA.
He was in the midst of a wretched run last year and going into 2025, it seemed like he needed a win quickly to get back to his best.
Thankfully, Thomas has done that by getting the monkey off his back in terms of getting that elusive win, and his form since has been consistent.
| 2024 | 2025 | |
| One putt percentage | 50th | 6th |
| Putts per round | 30th | 5th |
| Total putting | 96th | 29th |
| 3 putt avoidance | 19th | 13th |
| Average distance of putts made | 176th | 39th |
| Strokes gained | 174th | 24th |
Three more second placed finishes go alongside his win, although his major form has been a worry.
Thomas missed the cut at both The US Open and the PGA, and only finished T36 at The Masters.
Nevertheless, he is going to be absolutely key for Team USA and come September, he’ll be a player Keegan Bradley leans on a lot.
