Justin Thomas reacts to Xander Schauffele’s performance at The Skins Game as he finishes dead last

The return of The Skins Game on Friday seemed to be a resounding success.

Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood were joined at Panther National in Florida by American duo Keegan Bradley and Xander Schauffele for the 27th edition of The Skins Game.

After a 17-year hiatus from our TV screens, The Skins Game returned the day after Thanksgiving, with four of the best players in the world all mic’d up.

The Skins Game provided a blueprint for the PGA Tour, if Brian Rolapp and co. really want to modernize the game by making the tour and its players more accessible to the fans.

It was fascinating for golf fans to get a real insight into what the greatest golfers on the planet say to each other during their rounds.

Bradley played exceptionally well, while Fleetwood and Lowry were nothing more than average at best.

However, it was Schauffele who brought up the rear, with a quite frankly awful display, by his standards at least.

Justin Thomas was pencilled in to play at The Skins Game but his recent back surgery meant that he was replaced by Lowry.

Bradley won The Skins Game in the end after racking up a total of 11 skins and pocketing a cool $2.1 million in the process.

Fleetwood came in second place with four skins, while Lowry earned a solitary skin.

However, Schauffele ended the day empty-handed, with zero skins to his name.

And Thomas took to his X account to poke fun at his fellow American.

He said: “Like this message if you won the same amount of skins as Xander Schauffele today at The Skins Game.

“Love you brother!!!“

In the first Skins Game since 2008, Bradley took the spoils.

Fans were treated to some fantastic golf from the 2025 US Ryder Cup captain as he ran away with the victory in the end.

Unfortunately for Xander Schauffele, he simply didn’t have his best stuff at The Skins Game on Friday and his good friend Justin Thomas let him know about it!

However, that’s the beauty of The Skins Game format. It’s all about having fun and that probably makes a really nice change for the players after the non-stop intense competition throughout the year.
