Jon Rahm helped his Legion XIII team to yet another win on LIV Golf as they triumphed at Valderrama to win LIV Andalucia in style.
Rahm produced a masterclass in golf on the final day as he nearly reeled in Talor Gooch for an unlikely win.
In the end, Gooch held on to win the individual title by a shot but unlike Rahm’s teammates, Gooch’s couldn’t back him up enough to make it a double.
The Legion XIII squad have made a habit of winning and they’ve now won seven times since the team was put together, just one shy of Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers.
The team of Rahm, Caleb Surratt, Tyrrell Hatton and Tom McKibbin have a good mix of golf games to get the job done.
And giving his verdict on his teammates, Spanish star Rahm has suggested one of his team is right up there with Rory McIlroy in terms of his swing.

Jon Rahm makes Rory McIlroy comparison in assessing Legion XIII
Most people will agree that Rory McIlroy has one of the finest swings we’ve ever seen in golf.
In terms of being easy on the eye and the ideal way to swing a golf club, McIlroy is pretty much faultless.
Now, though, Jon Rahm has been speaking about his teammates and when it comes to Tom McKibbin, he believes both he and McIlroy have some of the best swings in history.
“I think he said he birdied five of the last eight or something like that. I would like for Caleb’s sake to have a little bit easier week. He’s a phenomenal player with a lot of talent. He just happens to be a little hiccup every once in a while, three, four, six holes that get him out of a tournament or out of contention or having a good week,” Rahm admitted.
“I don’t think there’s anything that needs to be said about Tyrrell. He’s a world-class player. He’s got the calibre to do well anywhere. He played great last year here, and even if he has a bad start, there’s never a doubt in mind that he’s got to battle.
Speaking about McKibbin, Rahm then explained why he feels he’ll get a big win soon.
“Tom, yeah, Tom has got one of the prettier swings on this planet. I don’t know what they have in Northern Ireland but they have two of the greatest swings ever seen in this game. His composure, his awareness on the course, he’s a champion as it is.
“He’s close to getting a big one at some point. Proud to be a captain, proud to be a team member with them, and really happy to have played well in Spain. If there’s any highlight for the week, we get one of the two victories, so really happy with that.”

What Rory McIlroy said about Tom McKibbin before he joined LIV Golf
There is no doubt that Tom McKibbin is one of the very brightest young stars in golf and his move to LIV was a bit of a blow to both the DP and PGA Tours.
Still, he has time on his side in terms of his career to be a success on LIV and then still come back at some point and succeed on the PGA side.
Indeed, Rory McIlroy is a big fan of McKibbin, having previously praised him.
“It’s been amazing to watch his journey and see him go from that little boy to become a European Tour winner and getting to play practice rounds with him at major championships… it’s cool to feel like I’ve had a tiny part in that journey,” McIlroy said in September, as quoted by the Belfast News Letter.
“I’ve tried to help Tom as much as I feel he needs my help… I don’t feel like he needs much of my help but he knows if he has a question that I’m on the other end of the phone.
Whether it was Darren Clarke or GMac (Graeme McDowell) or some of these guys who were putting their arm around me, I never sought out advice unless I really needed it and Tom seems to be the same.
“He knows what he needs to do and he’s a very mature young man. He doesn’t need much advice from me but he knows I’m here and I’m excited to play competitively with him. It’ll be a great atmosphere out there.”
As Rahm says, McKibbin will get his win at some point and from there, it could open the floodgates to a hugely successful career.
