Jon Rahm picks his favourite golf course of all time which he puts ahead of Augusta and Pinehurst

Jon Rahm is well versed enough in golf now to know which his very favourite golf course in the world is and he’s now revealed where he’d play if he only ever had one round left.

The Spanish sensation has won two majors already in his career and will be gunning for a second Masters next month.

Now on the LIV Golf tour, Rahm is seen less than many of us would like but he remains a serial winner having impressed on LIV since his move from the PGA Tour.

However, when it comes to Rahm’s favourite ever golf course, there is one standout in his mind.

Speaking to Joe Pompliano about a wide range of subjects on golf, including the current LIV situation, Rahm was then asked about his favourite golf courses.

And while everyone has a different answer to this, Rahm followed a few others by picking Torrey Pines as his number one.

“If I had 18 holes left to play in my life, the last 18,  and I die tomorrow. It is Pebble Beach,” Rahm admitted.

“I just think some of those holes are hard to beat. I could make a very good case for St Andrews well, but because I grew up on the coast with the cliffs, the same answer for Torrey Pines.

“But with Pebble, once you start on that third hole and you start seeing the ocean, three, four and five. And then the last two holes, I can’t think of a better finishing hole than the 18th – or a better two finishing holes than at Pebble Beach. That’s hard to beat. I would gladly make that last putt and make my ascent to heaven right there.”

As well as Rahm, the legendary Jack Nicklaus picked Pebble as his go-to for one more round as well.

Jon Rahm’s record at Pebble Beach

Jon Rahm hasn’t actually played at Pebble too many times but when he did rock up in a major championship there in 2019, he finished third in the US Open in impressive style.

When it comes to the AT&T at Pebble Beach, Rahm also has a decent record at the legendary course.

However, unfortunately, Rahm hasn’t played in the event nearly as much as both he and the fans on the PGA Tour would have wanted.

Rahm finished 5th in his debut at the AT&T in 2016, before finishing T26 the year after. However, since then, he’s not played there for differing reasons.
