Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII might have dominated at LIV Riyadh to win the team event but the Spaniard was far from happy with everything over in Saudi Arabia.
Rahm produced a fine final round of five under par to rocket himself into contention to win and eventually finish the tournament on 15-under par.
However, it wasn’t to be for Rahm, who saw Adrian Meronk hold on to win at 17-under as he missed a number of chances to really put the pressure.

Indeed, Rahm had the chance to within a shot of Meronk on the 18th hole and put the pressure on the Polish star. However, Rahm’s putt slid by to the right of the cup, leaving him to tap in for par and crush any chances of winning.
And it’s safe to say that Rahm himself was far from happy.

Jon Rahm angry as he misses chance to win at LIV Riyadh
The Spaniard is never one to hide his emotions and he very much wears his heart on his sleeve whenever he’s playing golf.
That much was apparent on the putt on 18 as well, as Rahm displayed his anger at the miss and appeared to blame the greens.
After seeing his putt roll by, Rahm was seen lamenting the miss before staring at the greens and shouting ‘You have to absolutely kidding me!’ at the top of his voice, before being overheard again saying ‘how does that go that way?’ as he looked back on his line.
In the end, Rahm coming second to Meronk was still a good result and helped the Legion XIII team to a comfortable win.
In Tom McKibbin’s first LIV showing, all four of the Legion XIII players finished in the top 15, with Tyrrell Hatton in a tie for sixth, Caleb Surratt in 11th, and McKibbin himself dropping down a bit to finish 15th.
Still, it’s a fine start for Rahm’s charges and over the course of the season, we should expect to see them win plenty more events.
