Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are surely LIV Golf’s best hopes when it comes to having one of their players win another major in 2026.
The 2025 season was definitely a step in the right direction for Jon Rahm.
While he did not finish higher than seventh in one of the four majors, he did tie the lead on Sunday at the PGA Championship.
The Spaniard – who won LIV Golf‘s individual title for the season once again – also reminded everyone of his quality at the Ryder Cup.
Johnson Wagner predicts whether Bryson DeChambeau or Jon Rahm will have a better major championship season in 2026
Bryson DeChambeau, meanwhile, was in the last group on Sunday at The Masters.
He has now also finished second in each of the last two years at the PGA Championship.
It feels particularly important that 2026 sees Rahm seriously contend in the majors. He is still fighting to prove that he did not make a real mistake joining LIV in December 2023.
But when asked about which player is better placed to shine in the majors next year, Johnson Wagner told 5 Clubs that he has higher hopes for the Crushers captain.

“I think Bryson for me personally,” he said.
“I think just the way he’s played Augusta, the way he’s played the US Open, PGA’s. Obviously, the run he had in the last three days at The Open Championship was incredible, but the wind laid down.
“At Troon, when it was windy – I don’t see him being a great Open Championship player, so I would give Rahm the edge there. But I think Bryson’s been so good in the other three that I’m going to give him my nod.”
The major championship records of Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau
Interestingly, Rahm and DeChambeau have now played the same number of major championships during their careers.
They both have two victories. Rahm, however, is one step closer to completing the Career Grand Slam, having won both The Masters and the US Open.
| Bryson DeChambeau | Jon Rahm | |
| Majors played | 36 | 36 |
| Wins | 2 | 2 |
| 2nd place | 2 | 1 |
| Top 5s | 7 | 8 |
| Top 10s | 10 | 15 |
| Missed cuts | 10 | 5 |
Rahm definitely still has the better record right now. However, DeChambeau seems to have found a way to boost his chances of peaking at the right time.
He has six top 10s in his last eight major starts.
DeChambeau still needs to address a big issue within his game. Meanwhile, you have to think that Rahm will figure everything out eventually.
But clearly, it would not be a surprise to see either man high on the leaderboards at any of the majors over the next 12 months.
