World number one Jeeno Thitikul looks set to round off her season in style, with the youngster six shots clear at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round of the CME Group Tour Championship.
Jeeno Thitikul has produced two of the three lowest rounds seen over the last two days at Tiburon Golf Club. Her 63 on Friday saw the 22-year-old take charge of the tournament.

And she followed that with a 64 in the third round. Only Gaby Lopez could better that with her 62 on Saturday to move into the top 10 with 18 holes to play.
Thitikul will be playing alongside Nelly Korda in the final group on Sunday. But there is no question that she already has one hand on the trophy.
In fact, she also has one hand on a piece of LPGA history.
Jeeno Thitikul closes in on breaking Annika Sorenstam’s record at the CME Group Tour Championship
There were extremely high hopes for Thitikul heading into 2025. She won the CME Group Tour Championship last year after an amazing Sunday showdown with Angel Yin.
Thitikul also outperformed Korda in several categories across the season.

It is a little surprising, therefore, that she had to wait until October for her second LPGA win of the season this time around. However, success has certainly been passed around the LPGA Tour this year.
Remarkably, Thitikul could also be about to snatch a record from Annika Sorenstam. As noted by Justin Ray, a round of 69 on Sunday would see her set the new benchmark for the all-time scoring average on the LPGA.
Sorenstam averaged 68.7 shots per round during the 2002 season, as noted by Golf Digest.
Meanwhile, Thitikul was not even born until the following year.
Ray also highlighted that she has already broken another record after ending her third round at 22 under par for the week.
Where Jeeno Thitikul will find herself on the LPGA all-time money list with a win on Sunday
Thitikul already went into the season finale as the only player on the all-time money list on the LPGA yet to feature in 100 events. She sat 19th in the standings with more than $13 million won.
However, a victory on Sunday will see her move into the top 10.
| Player | LPGA Earnings | Events played |
| Annika Sorenstam | $22,583,693 | 307 |
| Lydia Ko | $21,255,018 | 260 |
| Karrie Webb | $20,293,617 | 497 |
| Cristie Kerr | $20,179,848 | 602 |
| Minjee Lee | $18,568,477 | 249 |
| Inbee Park | $18,262,344 | 305 |
| Jeeno Thitikul* | $17,369,400 | 84 |
| Nelly Korda** | $16,559,558 | 162 |
| Amy Yang | $16,117,591 | 369 |
| Lexi Thompson | $15,420,156 | 271 |
In fact, she will move ahead of Korda – even if the American finishes second and takes home $1 million herself – and up into seventh.
There is no question at all that the next step for Thitikul will be winning that first major title.
