Scottie Scheffler is very much the main man in the world of golf right now and when it comes to two of the greatest to ever do it in Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, it’s worth a comparison.
Scheffler moved onto four majors with his win at The Open and he is now just a US Open away from a career grand slam before the age of 31.
Still, his major haul puts him well behind some of the greats of the game.
Jack Nicklaus is the leading man of all time with 18 major wins, while Arnold Palmer grabbed himself seven over his career.
Palmer also notched 62 wins on the PGA Tour, with Nicklaus landing 73. For reference, Scheffler currently has 17 TOUR wins.
But what about when it comes to Scheffler’s record in his first 25 major appearances compared to those two behemoths of the game?
Well, as expected, it stands up pretty well.

Scottie Scheffler’s first 25 majors compared to Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer
When we talk about Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, we are talking about two titans of the game of golf.
For any player to get anywhere near even being mentioned in the same breath as those two is an achievement in itself.
And when it comes to Scottie Scheffler and his major record so far, he’s right up there.
In a stat shared by golf journalist Jamie Kennedy on X, we can see clearly that Scheffler is holding his own when it comes to his major record so far.
With the form Scheffler is in at the moment, it would be hard to bet against him adding at least one more win to the column before 2026 rounds out.
Furthermore, in the next few years, it will be no surprise to see Scheffler hit the 30 win mark overall.
Will he ever catch Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus in terms of majors? Only time will tell.
But if there’s one player in the game right now who looks capable of doing so, it is Scheffler.
